About the author

Jill Bryant is a Canadian writer who specializes in children’s non-fiction. Born in Toronto, Jill grew up in Elora and Eden Mills, Ontario. She is the author of Phenomenal Female Entrepreneurs, Dazzling Women Designers, Amazing Women Athletes, Backyard Circus, and others. Jill also works as a freelance editor for many educational publishers. She used to be a regular contributor to Know magazine and was the manager editor for several months before its closure. Jill adores children's books and has written over 40 BFYP reviews for Quill & Quire. Swimming, canoeing, cross-country skiing, and traveling are her favourite recreational activities. Jill has lived in Japan, the U.S., England, and Germany. She now makes her home in historic Kingston, Ontario with her husband and their two daughters.

Bit of History, Great craft programs for kids (keeping this one in my back pocket), easy and clear explanations of shadows, light, shapes, and color and how to make them (this one is perfect for all school age and even tween audience, you might be able to sell it to a group of willing millennials;

Only downside that I saw was some of the wording on the supplies that are used are not so-commonplace anymore...but if you use your head, you'll figure out the easy replacement...for example (most people would use cardstock or even cardboard/posterboard/foam board)...the author uses a style of board that I haven't ever heard of...But otherwise, its a very helpful resource for the crafters
