I’m so sad to leave the Sweeney family. This series has been a gift. It was so real. Family is so dynamic and filled with joys, sadness, mistakes, misunderstandings, forgiveness and most of all love.

This series has taught me that if you are open, there are new joys to explore on every page of life, and when this life is over, we get to soar and start a new book.

A super fun beach series!! I loved all of the books. The last one had some weird twists that didn't feel like they belonged, but the author did a great job ending it nice and neat!
If you want a happy series, definitely worth the read.

This book was just a feel good book very similar to the other books in the series

The book was a very easy read, In fact I read it too quickly And didn't want to end it! I loved the way Cecilia told the story by having each character's own view of what happened, throughout.
I would love to continue reading Book #8, and continue to learn about more surprises around the corner with this wonderful family!

This whole series of Cocoa Beach Sweeny House books are quick reads, with hard topics brought up but in realistic and still light ways so that my triggers were not set off. That was the best part of this series.

All the characters are very filled out, well written and very realistic and engaging. Each book in this series has a different plot, covers a different set of main characters with all the family still being given plenty of paper time. I enjoy that each chapter focuses on a different character’s perspective allowing you as the reader to really get to know them. I will say that I do wish that Erica and Will and Jayda had more up front and personal paper time but it was cool to see them throughout the series. I only saw this because one of my own kids is interested in NASA too.


I love that this characters continue on in a whole new series I look forward to reading.

If you need fun, lovely, fast easy read books to finish your book challenge I very much suggest this series. Plus those who love the beach will get to imagine plenty of beach time!

Super continuation of a great series and start to a new one!

Wow! Brings back all the characters from the previous books and adds in more. This is not one story but many all rolled up in one. You really want to read all of these in order so that you will get the most out of this involved story. However, you can start here if you want. I just bet you will want to go back and read all the previous books after you finish this!

The pace is engrossing and the tone is hopeful with a character oriented storyline that has some kisses but no steam. The story is told in multiple points of view with vivid characters. If you like small towns with big families and all the issues that brings then this series is for you! Enjoy!

I really loved this book series and have been completely invested in the Sweeney family and all of the characters. However, as excited I was that Dottie found happiness in the end herself, I was slightly disappointed in how this new character of Emily took such a huge role in the last book of the series. I’m not sure what I expected and I know that she was opening the doors to her next series but…something seemed forced about the entrance of this character to me. Unfortunately I’m not jumping to read more about Vanessa and Emily. Overall, I don’t want to overshadow the entire series with negativity though because I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Cecelia Scott doesn’t disappoint in the latest Sweeney House story. It leaves the reader wanting more. And, there is more to come when two new characters end up uniting at The Sweeney House. This was a clean, happy story; a rare thing in this world. I recommend it if you’re into happy endings.

Cocoa Beach Bride by Cecelia Scott

I love the down to earth family and friends relationships in this series of books. Sincere, true relationships with honesty amongst family members living real lives, with real life challenges. Easy to read, I finished each of Cecelia Scott’s books in one setting! I am looking forward to her new Young At Heart series that starts in June!

I Loved.It!!

My genre of choice is romance and love stories! This wonderful series sure aced both of those. Each of the main characters had their own interesting love story. Even though I'm a senior in my 80's, I still am a romantic at heart. This series showed me the way life should be lived! Thank you Ms. Scott for an uplifting romance series.

Cocoa Beach Bride is a wonderful finish to the Sweeney House series. It’s a story of new beginnings, forgiveness, second chances, surprises, and knowing that family is the most informant thing there is, no matter what form it takes. This book wraps the series up nicely, with plenty of emotion and warm fuzzies. I highly recommend the entire series!
