This is a nonfiction book intended to help people through life-threatening situations, and I can really see where it would help those who are fearful--even full of terror. Terror of the pain, terror of leaving their loved ones (or a loved one leaving them), or terror of the unknown. This book is one that will enlighten and comfort.

Swallowed by Life by author Ada Brownwell is a transparent look at a mother's grief and search for faith after her daughter dies. It is extremely well written and will take readers on the heart wrenching journey with her.

The author is using her experience as a medical reporter for a daily newspaper to address an issue we will all have to deal with—death and what happens to us afterwards. She states in the preface that she will reveal how science shows us that death is swallowed by life every day and what Jesus had to say about eternal life. I like to give good ratings on books but I found I just could not get through the second chapter. I just didn't care for the writing and the personal opinions. Sorry Miss Brownell.
