Holy Shit...I can't even express how much I'm loving this series.

Yeah, there may not be sex but the story line is fantastic!

Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope.
Nope. I'm out. Done. I'm so over this series. What an utter disappointment.

The sad thing is, up until 90%, it was an okay read. I didn't love it, unlike the three previous books. Most of the time, I felt like the whole purpose of this book was to raise question after question after question, confusing und frustrating the hell out of me, without answering or resolving anything at all. I really should have counted all the 'I can't tell you's and 'That's not my story to

I loved, loved, loved this series so much.

First thing, you will NOT want to put the books down, and if you read like I do, will complete them anywhere between two to four days. ALL the characters have their own strengths and the group chemistry between friends is amazing.

MOST IMPORTANT: PIXIES KICK ASS.

There is a pixie, Tim, who will crack you up and have you laughing so damn hard you won't know what to do with yourself. Truth be told, he STEALS THE SHOW, but Jayne (the main character) is such a

Well, first of all, if you are really desperate to finish this series don't read first the ending. I did it and my reaction wasn't cute:
So yeah, that happened to me. Sad...isn't? However, I decided that I was still reading the book because I thought that everything would make sense at the end about -at least- the romance-weird thing, but no, it didn't! I just felt more and more confused wanting to skip pages because it was just queer. I found Jayne

Recommends it for: anyone that enjoys the Iron Druid series
While this series is complete, the story will continue in The Clash of the Overworld. Depending on how that series goes, I can see the clear demarcation between series.

I still am in love with Jayne's inner voice, the lack of overabundant teenage angst and just a damn good story. I listened to a majority of this book in my car via Kindle's text to speech and found myself (more than once) laughing like a loon in my car.

This series has caused me to put Elle Casey on my auto-buy list and I look for

Holy Molly, what a great serie!

Not a dull moment, full of surprises and great characters.

I love Jayne, she rocks the old fae world. Sassy mouth, sarcastic, loyal, courageous and mischievous.
She comes no holds barred in this fae world, makes mistakes but saves the day.
It reminds me of the Shadow Fall serie with the supernatural bunch of incredible friends, plot and humour.

You've got (no telling names because I don't want to spoil the fun):
- a hot incubus, always trying to get in her pants;
- an ar

I cannot begin to explain how much I loved this series. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! I am recommending it to everyone I know!! Such a fun read. Great characters and action. Will not disappoint. Jayne is one of those lead characters that you will just fall in love with. Funny, strong, and extremely likeable. I lost track of time while reading these books. Didn't know what day it was, what time it was...or what my family was doing!!! :)

Elle Casey reminds me why I love to try new authors (I've been known to

4.5 3 days later and can't figure out what to rate it so I just threw the other star at it and I'm moving on. I was a little annoyed with the lack of growth of the main character but the story just never bored me and had me flipping pages like the last 3 books. If this was the end of the story I think I would have dropped it to a 4 because it would have been too rushed and incomplete. Knowing there is more to it made it easier on which way to swing.

Stayed up WAY too late to finish this one last night! To say I loved it is an understatement. I love the interaction between Jayne and her friends, especially Tim. I cried with Jayne and triumphed with her. The end was a TOTAL unexpected twist. But, it actually made total sense and looking back I could see the lead up to it.

This is one of those books that you won't want to put down once you start reading it. Does a great job of bringing everything from the first three books together into a great ending and sets things up nicely for future story lines. This book made me laugh out loud many times. Love the writing, the characters and the story. I am proud to say I am a big fan of Elle Casey.

What a crappy ending. I was reasonably happy with the story until the last 10% of this book, now I will read no further. Let me clarify, I HATED the ending of this book, no redeeming features, , absolute garbage. My advice - read up to 90% the use the remainder for fixing that wobbly table or lining the cat tray.

Disappointed in how the series ended. The issue regarding the breach between dimensions was not resolved. Just felt like the "plot" got behind the wheel of a car, and after driving clean, fast, and exciting, suddenly swerves off the road, over the guard rail and off the cliff.

I really wanted to award four stars. The story is progressing well & I'm fully invested in seeing this series to it's conclusion. My only complaint remains with the far too numerous grammatical & editing issues.

Book 1: The Changeling ~ 2: Call to Arms ~ 3: Darkness & Light ~ 4: New World Order
Jayne Sparks is a sassy, foul mouthed, typical teen girl. She hates school, hates her mother's new boyfriend, and absolutely hates boring. Her best friend, Tony, is the biggest nerd in school, but she loves him unconditionally. The day Tony finds out that her mother's boyfriend tried to molest her, he insists that she make a choice. Wow I'm awesome. I so called it. Love the ending of this book. No cliffhanger for once, so no complaints there, but I want to read the next book more than ever.

Romance-wise, I predicted it! Kind of... not the Chase part, but the other part.

Jude annoys me sometimes with her immaturity, but she acts really human and reminds me of myself, when I stop to think about it.

In this fourth, and I believe final, book in the War of the Fae series, we are reunited with all of our favorite friends from the previous three novels in this epic story. Picking up where things left off in Darkness & Light, Elle Casey gives us more of this wonderfully crafted fantasy. Don't despair that the story is about to come to an end, however, there is plenty more of Jayne Sparks Blackthorn and her friends in the Clash of the Otherworlds saga, which immediately picks up where the War ...more

This book - 3.5, but the series as a whole 4 stars. I enjoyed the series and will most likely continue it as some point in the "Clash of the Otherworlds" follow-ons. I haven't read many books invovling the world of faires at this point, but I liked these. A friend of my was reading these books at the same time I was and we often discussed the "love story" angles or lack thereof. The main character seemed to have some sort of feelings for many differnt characters throughout the books. My friend r ...more

Oh Tim... so many of my favorite lines in this one are all Tim.

"No, that's not what I said! You have to tell the story right. And use the flair voice that I'm using. It's better that way."

Flair voice? omg, too perfect.

"Yes, ladies and gentlefae, I know, I know. I am amazing, aren't I? That's right. I'm a hacker. I hack stuff. Did you see me hack that mother? Yes, you did. I hacked it. I hack all the time, actually."

Let my start this review by saying that I absolutely love this book. Casey finished her War of the Fae series with a bang. It had everything I loved about the series: humor, friendship, love, romance, action, Jayne's bad-assery and a plot that was as awesome as it was unexpected.

The series ending was very bittersweet for me but I loved it. It ended in a way that allows for Jayne's story to be continued, which Casey is doing in Clash of the Otherworlds. Which you guys should be seeing a review fo

This book was as good as all the rest in the series. The writing was well done, the story well paced, and the characters were of course highly entertaining. The ending was definitely unexpected, but still good I thought. I like the way Jayne was forced to think of more than just herself, to consider what was best for her family and ultimately her race. It really showed that nothing worth having comes without some personal sacrifices and that life is never easy. I also like the way the author ill ...more

pretty sure my heart is broken right now :'( chase dammit, why does he have to be her guardian angel. I want them to be together so bad! as always, this story is completely mesmerizing and consuming. I love their world and their adventures, but I also like that you find the mundane human things balanced in and it makes it that much better, like a haircut for example lol. I mean what more is there?
The only fault I found with this last book is that it seems that Jayne the heroine expanded her vocabulary and eased up a bit on the profanity, eh ehm, I mean, her sentence enhancers! which was the most hilarious part of her dialogues. Not in an immature way but this is where the buttress of her emot

Well, that's the first half of the series completed. A great, frequently casual writing style that adapts really well to the characters and the situation, and near-constant surprises meant that I could barely stop reading these books, immediately buying the next one on Amazon every time.

If you're into fantasy, the Fae, magic, and today's society, then I highly recommend giving this a read. There isn't much separation of the books, it sometimes feels like it all should have been one thick novel,
