This is one of the best books I’ve read all year. That’s a heck of a statement, but I mean it. I don’t know how I found this book, maybe it was divine providence, but it q
From Nun to Nude Model In A Snap

I'll admit right off the bat I have a thing for priests, nuns and clergy folk in general falling in love and the internal struggles that follow. I blame it on my mom who made me sit through a rerun of The Thorn Birds mini series at what could only be described as an impressionable age. So when I read the blurb for this and found out Abby was a nun still in love with her tortured artist best friend from high school, to say I was anxious to read this is an understat

"Before I could speak a voice came from the shadows at the end of the room. “So, that’s where you went? Texas.” That voice. It made my stomach flip. My body was instantly covered in goose bumps, every hair standing on end. Something inside my chest ached when he spoke. Although I hadn’t heard it in years, I recognized his warm playful tone instantly. I’d know him anywhere."

This book is a 4.5 overall (I could round up or down, in this case I chose up) and a 4 for heat. Had the story been longer it may have pushed to a 5, but it all happened way too quickly for my tastes. The art sounded so interesting. I would love to know if it is based on someones work, and I'm dying to see it. It is very difficult to describe beautiful art, but the author did it in a way that left you a bit breathless.

I finished Scandalous this morning. All I can say is ehhhh. The reason I say this is because I just didn’t buy it, nothing felt right or rang true. The back story was just so unbelievable. It wasn’t only the “path she chose” but her reasons WHY, were for lack of a better word..ridiculous. She went from one extreme in the first half of the book to completely another in the second half (I have to be vague for people who haven’t read it yet) I wasn’t crazy about the writing either, I felt like ther ...more

Okay... fellow readers: Get this book, it is only .99 cents. I read it last year and it is one of my favorites!

What an exciting surprise. I found this book via a recommendation on Maryse’s facebook page. Gorgeous erotic artist, Jack Gray and preacher-girl, Abby reunite after ten years and WOW… paint sparks start flying everywhere and on everything. Very creative and captivating story. Really enjoyed the emotional artistic detail in the steamy love scenes

I liked this one. I didn't love it.

It was a short read about how one moment changes your life.

Abby thought Jack was her soul mate until she tried to kiss him and he didn't return the movement.
So she did what every woman does.
Runs away and joins the church taking a vow of abstinence.

Abby stuffs up... BIGTIME... and is forced to take a years unpaid leave from the church.
She is kicked out with nothing and owing student loans of $270,000!

She finally comes home and moves in

I wasn't sure what to expect from H.M. Wards novel Scandalous before I read it. I loved the cover, just like all her others, was completely stunning. While reading I honestly could not put this story down. Scandalous follows the life of Abby Tyndale who finds herself back in New York after a mishap with her congregation down in Texas.

This book was nothing like I expected. It was completely original, and breathe taking, and just over all like any of H.M. Wards books, mold breaking.

I don't think I was in the mood for this book when I started it, that could be why I rated it lower when I have seen a lot of great reviews. I struggled with the heroine being a minister/nun and her reasoning for running away from the hero when they were young and she joined the ministry, but I kept going and I ended up enjoying it. I thought the plot got a little crazy, the premise a little out there, but the love story between the H&h was beautiful and steamy once they connected.

Scandalous looks at an artist who paints nudes but who walks a fine line between art and pornography, and a preacher who is searching for a way to put her ideals into practice.

Abby left town ten years ago and hasn't looked back. Her family was gone and all she wants is to start over. The boy she loved rejected her. She is forced out of her church and sent out on her own without any money. She has to survive for a full year on her own and then they will take her back.

I am writing this on 3hrs of sleep because I stayed up to finish this delightful book. It is a quick read that intrigues you from the cover to the last page. I loved the art that was portrayed, and in my opinion the cover is a wonderful rendition of "The Scandal". Abby and Jack are wonderfully flawed characters who would sacrifice anything and everything for the one they love. I am amazed at the depth and growth of the leads in such a short time but it was not unbelievable. Having a history it m ...more

I am just going to come out and say that this book is so good that it should be scandalous! I absolutely loved it!

I read that this book was an addictive tease that would leave me breathless and begging for more. That statement is not a lie! I started to read this book on Friday morning and it had me from the beginning and when I finished it Friday afternoon I did feel a little breathless. This books could have easily doubled in length and I would have been a very happy lady!

Normally, I never would have thought to pick this up... But, under another pen name, the author writes a series (Demon Kissed)that my daughter absolutely loves - and that I've really enjoyed. Going in, I knew this wasn't a book for my kids, but I was really interested in seeing what the author did.

It was awesome. I've read romances before... Stuff like Janet Evanovich's early stuff, and they're cute. Light, fun, easy reads. Scandalous, while still being light and fun, is much more. It's hot! Ap

Loved every word. I don't think I've read a book that has had this kind of feeling to it for a long time. The whole thing felt so...intimate. First longing and regret, then urging desire, then seduction, and completion.

I felt totally wrapped up in Jack and Abby from beginning to end. Beautiful story, beautify written.

When Abby returns to Long Island after being gone 10 years, she is broke and homeless. Her church, where she happens to be the minister, has placed her on a forced sabbatical. And not only does that mean no pay but it also means she is stuck footing the bill for her student loans. She needs to find work and fast. It is that search that leads her to the art studio where she sees the very person who sent her running all those years ago.

He is now a famous artist. Of nude paintings. He is also

SCANDALOUS started out with a bang, but fizzled out as the story continued while failing to progress at a satisfying rate.

I really like the idea behind the story, but I had a really tough time relating to Abby’s character. There was something about the story that I can’t quite put my finger on that rubbed me the wrong way – I don’t think it was the religious aspect, I have read plenty of books where the righteous fall firmly into the evil clutches of the Devil.

Kudos to the author for turning the

Wow another great series I dont think I can say I can hate anything written by her ...I loved this one too and it was different I loved the romance but also the twist she adds on her books this one had me guessing and wow I had it all wrong lol with Holly it wouldn't be the first time ....past and present collide

3.5 Stars but the last 25% bumped it up to four:0)

Okay so this was a different kind of read for me, not bad, but not, oh my God I loved it. The first half was good but I kept waiting patiently for something to happen, someone to make a move, some action if you will, so in a good way, it kept my interest, but in a bad way, I was like come on already lol. After the halfway point things started to happen and it got a little intense and somewhat sexy, then there was some suspense thrown in about 75%

I am so completely torn over how to rate this book. I stayed up until 2am to finish it because I was so into it but the end just fell so flat. I gave it 4 stars because I couldn't bear to give it 3, but really it was probably a 3.5 or 3.75 for me.

The way this book starts out, it was 5 star all the way. The author's writing and the descriptiveness when it came to the art and the love scenes was just so beautiful, I was completely captivated. I was sucked right into the story and didn't want to f
This was HOT!! Coming from the same author who gave us the Arrangment series I had high hopes and let me tell you, they were met! What is it about Mz. Ward's writing? it's erotic, sensual, seductive, steamy and HAAWWTTT!

I love the whole " unattainable goddess " thing and finding your soul mate. Cheesy? HELL NO. This was done right with enough suspense and angst to prevent the cheese curdling reaction from reading something overly cliche and predictable.

I picked up this book after not having read anything for a while and Im honestly really glad I did!
I REALLY enjoyed this novel. At first I was kinda hesitant cause I was like, "is this chick a nun? What? .so strange." Which is kind of sad for me to be thinking cause I go to Catholic school, but this story ended up being GREAT!
It was so unique and the whole paint subject in the book. HOT.

Many things in the book I totally saw coming and I just wished I could have fallen more for Jack. I didn't f

This is a Review Based on Both Scandalous and Scandalous 2 . I will post the same thing in Scandalous also .

This was a Good series , Although I thought it was kinda fast paced , I did enjoy it . I think that certain areas could of been a little more detailed. There was alot of jumping from one ordeal to the next right away

I LOVED Jack and Abby. The connection that those two had was undeniable even after 10 yrs of being away from each other . They acted like they had never been away from each o
What I liked about this book:
- Abby and Jack were likable characters with good chemistry.
- The story pulls you in at the beginning and moves along at a good pace.
- Angst. I'm always a sucker for good angst.

What I didn't like as much:
- Insta-love. Even though Jack and Abby go way back, there were a lot of obstacles seeming to stand in their way one minute that were overcome in a blink of an eye. I admit I may have rolled my eye a time or two with all their perfectness...

Ok i didnt expect this book to be this good. More than anything else it had soul in it. And it was just a story of 2 soulmates who would never give up and would always look out for each other.
Those art works were a piece of admiration. Even though at first I didnt really understand it. But when she unraveled him I understood it all. And now they werent just paintings they were so much more. It was his soul poured out on canvas. And unexpectently I loved Jack. His shyness and love for his work a

Scandalously boring and barely credible. Too my limited knowledge Protestant ministers do not take vows of celibacy alhough they may vow not to engage in sex outside of marriage.

I started the book butmoved on to something else since it was boring. Perhaps I am a little too liberal but I fail to see what the issue is with regard to the art. Nudes have always been acceptable as art. Consequently, I feel I am not part of the demographic targeted by this particular novel.
IT WAS AS HOT AT THE COVER! Review to follow...

I'm in <3! Grabbed this on sale today (under $5). Oh yes, I like reading AND saving money. I was waiting and drooling. And the verdict so far is: Its as hot as the cover!!!
