Rate this book
Is there anything you wouldn’t do to protect the person you love? After eight years away from the place he calls home Jordan Anderson returns to find the girl he fell in love with as a teenager has returned as well. Even though it seems that this is their chance for happily ever after to happen, they are suddenly faced with the fact that monsters from their past haven’t vanished from their fairytale.

Faced with the ultimate sacrifice what will it take for Jordan to free the woman he loves from a past that seems to not want to let go of her; and in the end will it be enough to keep her by his side?

Edit 3/13/2014: I finally got around to redownloading the book, and found the editing vastly improved, so I'm adjusting my rating upward appropriately.

Harlee, if you haven't already, fire your editor now. If it wasn't for the editing (or lack thereof), I'd have given this 4 of 5 stars (the same rating I gave the two most recent books in A Song of Ice and Fire - my all time favorite series)..

Romance isn't my typical genre, so I don't have a lot of material to compare it with in review, but this was definitely overall a good time. It's a good story, it made for a fairly enjoyable read. I identified with Jordan and Hayden and their trials, though I would definitely have enjoyed more of Hayden's back story. Maybe that will come with future installments. :)
