In 21 essays, Kalpakgian, opens up some stories from the canon of Great Books to explore the virtues he sees there. It is fascinating, illuminating, and well written. I couldn't get past its tone of a grumpy old man, annoyed to see people on their cell phones, hectoring us about the good old days. How about writing a 22nd essay on being open to change?
