I haven't read the first two in this series, but read this because I've been on a time travel kick lately. So there's definitely a lot of backstory that gets referred to that I've missed. The time travel is kind of all over the place, and it's meant to be kind of wacky rather than a consistent timeline of any sort. Probably would have enjoyed more if I read the others first; the writing is okay but not outstanding.

Charming and funny and makes for great bedtime reading with the kid. A little bittersweetness added for good measure.
