A good half of this book involves construction, which makes those sections entirely unsuitable for me. The knitting patterns are lovely, and clearly yet charmingly written. I made one months back with a pared-down free pattern, and found that somewhat confusing

This is a lovely little book if you suffer from Clanger nostalgia. The helpful advice very useful for a beginner like me.
