There are basically two aspects to this story. There's the main plot, involving Len and Liz, their daughter April and Kirkland, and a few other subplots involving friends of Len and Liz. And then there's the part with the angel, the person (for lack of a better word and to keep me from saying "angel" twice in one sentence). I love finding it difficult to sum up a book. And this is definitely one of those books that are very difficult to sum up. Basically, it's Christian fiction at its finest. But if you're expecting that type of Christian fiction with cardboard saintly characters who are all sunshine and rainbows, look elsewhere. As Len, Elizabeth and their friends grow stronger in their faith, Satan is watching and plotting as well. He has his own minion, Kirklan ...more

A Name Like Thunder is Christian literature. It is emotional, dramatic and suspenseful. If half-stars could be given, I’d give the story 3.5 stars overall—4 stars for creativity premise and quality of writing and 3 stars for engaging plot.

There are two merging storylines. One story involves humans, and the other is about the battle of angels and demons. The storylines merge as a battle of good and evil culminates. The
