TPBA 2 is a curriculum-based measure that professionals can use to assess children from birth to age six through the observation of natural play in four areas of sensorimotor, emotional and social, communication and language, and cognition.
Dr. Toni W. Linder is an expert in child psychology and early childhood education. She is Professor Emeritus in the Child, Family, and School Psychology Program at the University of Denver. She is known for her work on play-based assessment and play-based intervention. In 1999 she developed a play-based curriculum, Read, Play, and Learn, a literature and play-based curriculum for preschool and kindergarten learning and development.
