3.5 This was surprisingly good!

Ok, I admit, when I started reading this I didn't really expect anything past a 2.5, maybe 3 star read. A typical romance, boring and meh but relaxing.
Maybe that's why this book got a 3.5 from me, 'cause I had low expectations.
Still, it was a pretty good read, I didn't even skim!

I dunno why I liked it so much... The writing was pretty good and the characters were interesting, even the plot was a bit more fun than I expected it to be.

2 stars. Nice characters doing nice things. But I wasn’t emotionally anything. It was easy to put down.

Even the sex scenes didn’t grab me. I found myself skimming them.

The story lines include: Gabe and Allison pretend to be engaged. Gabe is a good guy helping others. His main problem is trying to make the family farm more profitable, but his abusive and cruel dad causes problems. Allison is a neat woman and smart. Her mother is dying of cancer. Gabe and Allison spend quality time with her

I took a chance on this one as it is my first western romance. The setting is Alberta, Canada & Allison has just moved back home, leaving her job & Red Deer behind. A reliable source has informed her that her mother is very ill, still working at the family owned restaurant but the bad news is still being kept from Allison & her family. So as not to raise questions by her perceptive mother, Allison approaches old friend Gabe with a proposal. She will offer him free advice to help his ...more

Wow, it’s hard to believe we are already to book four in Vivian Arend’s Six Pack Ranch series. I have loved each one so far mainly because the stories have all been so different and Rocky Mountain Angel proves that a really great series writer can take an often used plot and turn it into gold.

Gabe Coleman has been called a lot of things in his life; saint, good friend, angel, protector and while he may be all of those things, he’s every bit as

This is my first Six Pack Ranch book, and I really liked it. Worked really well as a stand alone.

Pretend engagement stories are not always my favorite, but this one worked..I think because there isn't major conflict or drama surrounding the pretend engagement. Gabe and Allison fall for each other pretty quick, without much conflict...but I liked how it is done. They are both such warm, fun characters. And the sex. Dear lord the sex - it's dirty and gooooooood.

I def rec.
This has some of my favorite sex scenes ever in a book. They're hot and sensual and a few were long but never boring. This is an emotional read. Also, there's a character that I personally wanted taken out. I've never had that kind of reaction to someone. I was very invested in this book and didn't want to put it down.
Price drop....99 cents. 3/27/17

One of my favorite series. Loved both Gabe and Allison. Hated the father with every fiber of my being. He was such a mean/evil person.
Classic fake relationship that turns into exactly what neither person expected it to, deep and meaningful real love and caring for one another.

Gabe Coleman is a dream Canadian Cowboy. Good looking on the outside and inside a man to stand by you through thick and thin, a man worth keeping through the good times and the bad, a man who loves as hard as he can and deeper than even he knew he was capable of.

Allison Parker is the girl that Gabe had a crush on in High School. Now back to her roots so

The storytelling really brings you into their lives.

It’s almost like Allison was subconsciously drawn to Gabe for help. Having been acquaintances years earlier their fake fiancé story is almost a second chance too. Anyway, I digress, this book was touching but also a sweet falling in love story with too strong, intelligent people who also have baggage. Tearful at times I still couldn’t put it down.

This was the story of Gabe Coleman and Allison. Allison finds out her mom is dying. She hasn't been home for a few years and she knows her mom won't accept any help from her if she knows she is sick. She goes to Gabe with a plan to become his fiance so her mom will think that is why she came home. Gabe decides to help her out, but it comes with complications when he finds they are really attracted to each other. this is a good read

Trying to help a friend and finding love.

Love stories that are lets pretend, always ends up being real instead. Gabe Coleman and Allison Parker are a perfect match to get this family farm to look forward to a bright future. Love that they start out as friends and become so much more to one another with out even realizing it at first. Very well written and brings you so far into the story you can feel like you are there.

Loved it looking forward to my next visit.

A great addition to the series. I think every book just keeps getting better and better. I enjoyed the characters, but they weren't my favorite in the whole series(probably the only thing keeping it from beingn 5 stars). They were likeable and well developed, just not my favorite. I can't wait for more of this series! Damn there are a lot of sexy cowboys whose stories aren't told yet!

Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed in this installment. It's still a good, light read but not really memorable. Some parts of the book seemed to drag a bit. I will continue with the series though.

Let me state at the start I absolutely loved this book. I loved our heroine Alison. She was caring, smart, sassy bold and sexy. I loved (in a bro-mance sort of way) our hero Gabe. He was such a stand up guy enduring years of undeserved abuse from his father in order to try and help his mother, younger brother and his family’s heritage. He was kind to everyone, devoted to his family, hard working and brave enough to put his heart out there for Alison while supporting her emotional needs. Alison’s ...more

#4 in the Six Pack Ranch romance series

This has been my favorite from this series so far. Gabe is the good guy of the Angel Coleman branch--always helping people out while struggling to keep the ranch going despite his father's opposition to his "new-fangled" ideas of organic ranching. When Allison asks for his help with her mom, he can't resist, especially since he's always had a crush on her. As they begin a fake relationship to fool her mother, they start to realize that their feelings are

A book full of secrets.

Everyone has a secret. Allison keeps secrets from her family. Gabe has a secret within his family. Ben is just a four letter word and needs to walk off a short cliff. Travis has a secret. Joel is keeping secrets from Trevor. Trevor is being a butt and keeping secrets too.

Gabe helps Allison by having a pretend engagement while she comes home to hang out with her mom who has cancer. Allison isn’t suppose to know thus the engagement to keep her near her mom.

For years Gabe has been fighting his father for a place on the family ranch and Gabe's idea of turning the farm organic becomes a battle Gabe see's no way of winning. But with the help of long time friend, Allison, he may have finally found the way. A lovely story of strength through kindness even with heartache and pain.
Allison will do anything to ease her mother dying of cancer, even pretend to be engaged. I loved how close this family were but Allison was just a bit slow on realising she loved Gabe.
Gabe has been dealing with an unfair and unjust father and I hated his father vehemently. All Gabe wants to do is save their section of the family ranch by introducing organic means to bring in better prices.
Allison suggests a fake engagement

Family Secrets

This is definitely by far my most favorite story so far!

After receiving disturbing news of her mom having cancer, Allison Parker quickly returns home. The catch?, mom hasn't told any of her children yet. Allison was told by a very good friend because she fears Mrs. Parker isn't handling the news well.

Allison can't just show up at home with no reason as her mother would become suspicious. She seeks the help of her good friend Gabe. All they have to do is pretend to be engaged and go
