Brittany Cook wakes up in a hospital room, suffering from amnesia, Brittany Cooke begins to experience weird vibes. Flashes of events, feelings of people she has never met, things she just couldn't possibly know... why can't she remember anything about her former life? Why are her parents so reluctant to let her out of the house?
Shadows had a really great beginning but then it kind of sunk into the same rhythm for the remaining 100 pages and grew a little tiresome. There were some really weird parts that I cannot say I enjoyed. For example, one time a teacher told Brittany and Nick off and said that there was "no laughing allowed at school". Sorry but what? No laughing! You can hardly ban laughing - that is completely unrealistic.
Despite this the mystery and suspense elements were still decent although they weren't as exciting as they were in Jigsaw. The ending was also really stupid. This certainly wasn't as good as the previous book however.
