Comprehensive summary of the big data landscape, I found it interesting because it sources multiple references and important tools which could be great points of exploration for beginners.

If you know nothing about big data, than this book is for you. It provides very high level introduction to big data.

The author provides you general idea about big data and then takes you to a journey of its world. He explains the available options staying their pros and cons. Towards the end author discusses about the different plays in the space such as Microsoft, Google and Oracle.
