I did not read #1, just #0.5 a long time ago, so I was completely new to this world. Trevor is a human who was tortured, kept as a blood slave for vampires to feed on for year(s). Siobhan is an angel and angels do not ordinarily feel emotion, but she feels sympathy and attraction toward him, even in his weakened state. (view spoiler) then she's prepared to say goodbye. However, she didn't know that (view spoiler) ...more

The Characters:

Trevor Descansos

The Story:

Wow I felt like that ended just when it got good. I’ve really missed this series. I’ll admit I was struggling to recall what I liked about it but as soon as Siobhán let Trevor in I remembered.

The Random Thoughts:

Favorite Quote - "I saw you and you hit me like a two-by-four between the eyes. I know that sounds like a line, but I'm serious. So take pity on me and give me a few minutes of your time. Or a few ours. Could I

The more I read Renegade Angels the more I like it. I read this book after I read book 2 so I knew what was going to happen but the story was still one I liked very much!! I hope the Sylvia Day gets her s*** together, I would like to finish this series at one point! I hate waiting for books, especially since Ms. Day has me now waiting for the two books left in the Renegade Angel series and the two books in Crossfire. UGH! I hope something comes about before 2015!

For a species of beings that aren't supposed to have any feelings, those angels sure are having a hard time turning their backs on love.

Set to coincide with the events of A Hunger So Wild, this novella centers on the Seraph Siobhán. As the science-minded angel works with her team to clear out a vamp nest, she discovers Trevor, a human who has been their prisoner for the past year. He's been used for blood, sex, and sport and is now only a shadow of his former self. In Siobhán, he sees a

Great follow up on book 01. Book 01 & 01.5 were awesome. Book 0.5, not so much. See below about book 02.

Not really looking forward to the next book though. The heroine is someone I do not like at all. Not sure if I'm gonna read it or not. Problem is that I very much like the hero. Decisions, decisions!

Oh my.. What a delight this short story was. I'm glad I don't have to wait but a couple days to continue reading about the Renegade Angels and the other characters in the books.
Absolutely loved this story. Thank you, Sylvia Day.

Short but sweet.

I have read this series out of order but am pretty sure I remember hearing about both Siobhan and Trevor, so it was great to hear their story.

I am not a huge fan of novellas but this was pretty decent but definitely to the point.

The love story of Trevor and Siobhan is so good, it deserves a novel and not a short story. It felt like there were missing pages at the end. I want to read those missing pages!
Sylvia Day's short stories / novellas leave me wanting and craving for more — Raze and Kimberly in A Dark Kiss of Rapture; Trevor and Siobhan in A Caress of Wings. Great teasers. But please! Let me read the entirety of their love stories.

One of my first Kindle reads, this story goes fast. I like that Sylvia Day has taken time give one of her secondary characters her own story. Being a writer myself, I know that in the creation of any story there are sometimes elements edited out to keep a story tight and moving. I refer to this edited elements as, "Little darling." Thanks Sylvia for giving your little darling a voice.

No detailed sex in this one, which is unusual for Sylvia Day. Good story though, and I'm definitely looking forward to reading the next book. The chemistry between the 2 leads was realistic, and the characters remained true to themselves.

Excellent read

If you like the renegade of angels series, you will love this, it follows Siobhan another angel and how she fell in love with a vampire, another spellbinding read from Sylvia Day.

A CARESS OF WINGS (Renegade Angels #1.5) by Sylvia Day

A CARESS OF WINGS is an e-novella (June 2012 release) in Sylvia Day’s Renegade Angels series. Part of the series premise follows that if a Sentinel (Watcher Angel) falls in love or mates with a mortal/human their wings are removed and they become the Fallen. As a Fallen, they are now vampire, and require blood to survive. But along the way, a few of the Fallen have requested leniency and begged off from vampire status and have become ‘lycan

This is a novella accompanying the Renegade Angels trilogy. During one of her raid on vampire nests, Siobhán rescued Trevor who has been captured by vampires for a year and used as a blood bag. While busy with her research into the vampire disease, Siobhán finds taking care of Trevor a good distraction from her work.
Trevor gradually returns back to good health and apart from being grateful for Siobhán, he finds undeniable connection with her.

This is quite a short, sweet and simple story for the

3.5 stars - After finishing the prolog of a Caress of Wings I had some pretty strong reservations - the human hero, Trevor, was feed on by vamps who reveled in his fear and he was also repeated raped during the year he was held captive - a tortured/sexually abused lead is not a favorite theme for me and their move to a physical relationship in the aftermath is rarely well done in romance. But I have to say that with the angelic powers of the heroine, Siobhán to mend (and hide) some of the trauma ...more

In the world of angels and fallen ones. The main reason the Fallen became that way was for falling in love with mortals. For that they lost their wings and have now become eternal vampires. There are less then 200 Sentinals, angels who watch over the Earth and protect humanity from the Fallen and their minions. Siobhan is the scientist among the Sentinals. She has been given the mission to find a cure for a zombie like disease effecting the vampires, before it spreads to a disastrous amount. Dur ...more

This novella was pretty good. If you are invested in the Renegade Angels, this novella is a must read, because I’m pretty sure we’ll see the characters again later in the series. I am a little confused in this series, because the whole reason the Sentinels are on earth is to monitor the Watchers’ punishment, but the Sentinels keep committing the same crimes, and they get no punishment. If I were a Watcher/Fallen, I’d be pretty pissed off at this point. Also there are some inconsistencies in the ...more

I read this novella slightly out of order, after A Hunger So Wild, but it was fine and didn't impact the story arc.

I needed another Renegade Angels kick and this fitted the bill nicely :-)

Trevor had been captured and savaged by rogue vamps. The last thing he expected was to be rescued by an angel.

"I'm dead, right?" He looked around, finding heaven to be... not what he'd expected. They were in a small, windowless room. He lay on a couch. There was a coffee table and an entertainment centre with t

I'm finally figuring out that these Renegade Angels books are like a soap opera. All the characters are interrelated and each book focuses on one pair. This one was about Siobhan, an archangel who is working to find the cure for the disease running rampant through the vampire community. She rescues Trevor, a human who has been held captive in a vampire nest for over a year. He was chained in a windowless basement and used for blood. He is definitely messed up, physically and mentally. Siobhan fi ...more

I have to say this was a surprisingly great e-novella.

It had a lot of action, a strong heroine and a very strong hero. What Trevor went through for over a year would normally make anyone else go mad. His fierceness and will is amazing and his determination to help shows that he took his experience and didn't fall apart but is using it to be better. His automatic attraction to Siobhán from the beginning was so strong, you just knew it was due to being soul mates.

I really enjoyed reading this, but
I think this story, despite its short length, is my favourite Renegade Angels story to date. Yet another angel finds her soul (and sex) mate, and discovers that not only are her wings weapons of mass minion destruction, they have another function as well;-) Oh yes, some readers complain that we don't get to read the part when our sentinel heroine loses her virginity- I am ok with that. After all: the first time is supposed to be special and intimate... Espescially when you have waited for eons f ...more

Shortening this very short story, Siobhán - the tech, medical efficient sentinel who works for Adrian, has found her other half - and is managing to fall from grace in a different way.

The guy that got her heart is Trevor - a military doctor, who was being kept as a provider of blood for nearly an year before our heroine has found him, and treated him. Let me just say that S (because I don’t want to write her name again) will be confiding/telling about her escapade with the then human, now vampi

A nice novella with a secondary character mentioned in A Touch of Crimson Sentinel Siobhan getting her HEA with a mortal doctor.

The only critcism I have with this series is according to the premise of the mythology the Sentinels if they fall in love with a mortal are supposed to become Fallen. In the first book and this novella somehow this hasn't happened... and with no adequate explanation except some mention that if they are "changed" the rules maybe don't apply. Just a nit for me because ot

Another novella to keep me up to date with all that happens in the 'Renegade Angel' world. Now I have Trevor to think about. Siobhan, another of these fantastic Sentinal Angels, falling for a human. Or is he, Trevor the poor guy has been through an ordeal, but with or without his full memories of the past year, he falls for Siobhan.

Love these short stories, just keeping the appetite wet for the 3rd in the series. Wouldn't mind if there were more, kind of like reading the sexy stories of this wo

I enjoyed this inbetweener! My hope is that Day doesn't leave us hanging like she did with the prequel. The prequel to book 1 through me for a loop because I was waiting for the story to continue and got nothing.

I want to see where Trevor and Siobhan (hard to spell for me)story goes. After Adrian hunting Mark and Helena down then turning to a vampire/angel relationship himself. I just got to know!
