She has a few linked series. For an order to the whole Dark World series, see: https://www.goodreads.com/series/1658...
The series that takes places before this one is her Dark Sword series. Here's the first book for that one: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...
It's probably possible to read this series without the other, but I'm guessing it's best to read the Dark Sword first as it probably explains many concepts and things. (less)

Once upon a time, I had a job which was a source of joy to me and didn't feel like a chore or work at all. Only downside was the weekly meetings where the superior and a couple of others would talk about a problem that could be handled with a couple of suggestions, for hours. Every fucking time. And, were they kind enough to let me daydream, while they were patting themselves on their backs for having all those amazing ideas and the lyrical way they expressed themselves? No, I was expected to ma ...more

Donna Grant starts off the Dark Warriors series with a bang! With a swoon-worthy hero and a smart and steady heroine, there is no way this equation can go wrong.

In MIDNIGHT’S MASTER, we find Gwynn Austin on a hunt for her missing father. She travels to Scotland where her father was last seen, but can’t find any more supporting clues to his whereabouts. On that same day, Logan Hamilton travels from the past into the future to find Ian. As they both hunt for their missin

I think the first thing I need to point out is that this is the first book I have ever read by Donna. This is important because it is also a spin off from another series her Dark Sword series. I never picked up that series due to the fact that it is historical. When I heard that her Warriors were going to jump through time and have a spin off series set in present day I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did. I can’t wait to read more about these Warriors and Druids. I even enjoyed the villain ...more

I'm so confused as to the love of this book. Goodreads has lead me to almost all of the books I've read and yet it lead me to this one. I'm confused. Why on earth is this book getting such good reviews, it was awful. Truly terrible. It was badly written like a book and it offended my senses.

The part where he sees her drive past him and immediately falls in love? What?! Then they meet awkwardly and apparently she feels like she's in love with him too (he wasn't even described to be that hot, he's

I really liked this. I'm always searching for books similar to the Black Dagger Brotherhood series or the Immortals After Dark series, and this fulfilled that need! Logan seemed hotttttttt and perfectly alpha, while Gwynn was tough and didn't doubt herself like many lead characters do. There was a good amount of suspense and it was really well written. I'm excited to see how the next rest of the series goes!

Recommends it for: Romance/Fantasy Lovers
This first book in the Dark Warrior Series by Donna Grant was a pleasantly fun read. It gained a rating closer to 3.5, and although it had many of the features that I love about the romances I read, it just lacked that "oomph" to becoming a more dazzling 4 or 5. What did I love? Well, it had time-travel, a sexy and magical highlander, Scotland and its picturesque romance, danger and suspense, and of course SEX. Usually, a story containing all of these would hit a home run with me, but it just l ...more

This was a great story! I enjoyed Ms. Grant's mythos and the secondary charters were great. In addition, Logan and Gwynn made a great pair.

Midnight’s Master is the beginning of Donna Grant’s Dark Warriors Series.. The Dark Warrior Series is not exactly the beginning of a series rather the middle where the Dark Swords take a slight turn.. Oh they are still fighting evil, most especially Deirdre and they are still working hard to control their inner gods.. but they have been fast forwarded to the future.. or rather NOW.. It’s hard to make a huge transition and make it work. There are so many issues and factors that could go wrong. Ha ...more

This book just got me in a terrible mood. I can't even think of starting a new one because this one annoyed me so much....

Where to begin?...

First, I thought this would become another favorite series because it started out pretty good, but right in the middle it just got boring and slowed-paced. The plot and ARC story were really lame, I just felt like I was losing a lot of time as the pages didn't say anything important. Then it also got too corny and surreal. I don't like characters which accep

Loved, loved, this story, and wow can this lady write a love scene...breathtaking. I just figured out that while this is thee first of a new series there is another series that gives the backstory for some of the characters I just met. Obviously, I will have to read them all!

I know... I know... I said I was giving up on this series, because it jumped the shark for me. And while I won't retract that statement for my review of "The Darkest Highlander", I will say that perhaps it *was* a good idea for Ms. Grant to move the series into the 21st century. Maybe.

We last saw Logan Hamilton on a trip to the Isle of Eigg with the Warrior Duncan, who shares a god with his twin Ian. They were trying to locate one of the Druid relics (the Tablet of Orn) that can lead t

Me reencontré con mis chicos. Ah.

An outstanding story, do not miss it! Taken from my review at RomanceJunkies.com

Gwynn Austin, a Druid, has always had a fascination with Scotland, its legends, myths of magic, Druids and Highland warriors. Fearing her magic, she has tamped it down within herself, refusing to heed it, since she was young. But more than once she has wished for something, only to have it happen. Her mother died three years ago and since then, her father, an anthropology professor who had at one time spent more time

This is my first experience with Donna Grant. I also have never read a book about Druids before. It was a pleasant experience, but not life-altering. I also felt that because I didn't read the other books by Donna Grant, I was missing some backstory that may have made me make a better connection with the secondary characters.

Gwynn is looking for her missing father in Scotland. Logan is a time-traveling immortal warrior, on a mission to prevent evil from re-awakening in the world. They meet, and

I’ve heard oodles of great things about Donna Grant, but have never had the pleasure of reading her works….until now. And, I must say that I am beyond please with the outcome of what I read. I was swept away instantly into the heart of Scotland, following characters who take the reader on a whirl wind ride, searching for a missing artifact, overcoming evil, and fighting sizzling attraction. Yes this series is a spin off of Donna Grant's Dark Sword series, yes there are character's and couples from that series in this book, no I have not read that series yet(but I plan to) but I did not in any way feel lost because I had not read them. I know most of our long time readers are probably in shock at this statement coming from me. It has been well documented that I am a little OCD about things being read in order. But knowing that, I hope it reaffirms that you do not have to read the DS ...more

Book Review Of “Midnight Master” By Donna Grant

Gwynn Austin is on her way to Scotland to try and find her father. Gwynn has not heard from her father in sometime and has become very worried about him. While Gwynn is looking for her father, she meets the most beautiful and handsome man that she has ever laid eyes on. Gwynn becomes fascinated by this man named Logan. She is taken away by the way he talks and the fact that he is wearing a kilt in the middle of Winter.

Logan is going to become a majo

This was actually pretty boring compared to her other series. This series is a continuation of her other series, but her villians have jumped from back in time to the present.

The premise is that there are druids & warriors with a god inside them trying to stop another druid, Dierdre, who has unleashed the bad god in the warriors.

This book is about Gwynn who is in Scotland looking for her father who has disappeared when he goes on this sudden trip from Texas quitting his job as a professor at

This book took me awhile to finish becasue i just didn;t connect with any of the characters. The book takes place within a 5 day time span...heroine meets hero. She discovers she's Druid and he's a warrior that just that day got thrown into the 21st centruy from the 14th century. They meet, fall in love battle the bad guy, and get married. And not to mention the hero lives in a castle with 6 other couples. I would have liked to know each of the other warrior's stories of how they met there SO, b ...more

5 Marvelous-start Stars!!

Here's the thing about Druids and Magic and gods, etc..

For me, it's not easy to blend this topic with just the right plot and the brilliantly painted characters to come up with perfection!

But this book did, and it was just what the doctor ordered!

As a first book comes, it was truly a lovely start that I couldn't put down! I enjoyed it from start to finish and as I closed it, it kept me wanting more!

That's why, I'm off to read Ian's book next ;)

This Dark Warriors spin-off of the Dark Sword series started quite well. Always enjoyed time-traveling Highlanders and this series reminds me of KMM's Highlander series. And as if having one Evil Druidess isn't enough, now we have another villainous Druid and both now in the modern world. It'll be interesting to see how it all pans out.

Pretty great spin off. Loved that all the other characters from the original series were here quite a bit. Logan was just as great as I thought he would be. All wounded hero hating himself. lol but his lady love helped him through. The original baddies are still running around causing trouble. I am really curious about how things will go for Ian , his book is next cant wait.

First of all the cover was deceiving, second of all I don't think I liked this book, as much as I wanted to. It wasn't even like a book with a thrilling climax, it was like going up & down on tiny ant hills over and over again super quick then resolved. Quick and then over... And a kilt... Really? What about the history with all the other random characters? Eh I just missed a lot and wanted more
