Well I am thrilled to say that I got an A in the class, but what I'm not so thrilled about is the way in which the text was very slanted toward liberalism and had very collectivist undertones throughout. I was hoping for more emphasis on the study of more of the positives on all political parties but you won't find much positive on how conservatism contributed to American values, growth or strength. In the rare instance when you do, it's always downplayed by a huge negative that distills it. Especially in the chapter on Ronald Reagan and Bush presidencies. Yea, and by the way, the discussion on Clinton makes that guy sound like the Messiah. Just glad I took an accelerated course.
I don't normally like reading textbooks - they are so dry. But I actually enjoyed this one! I mean, I'm still going to sell it back to the school (hopefully they'll buy it back), but it was better than my textbooks usually are!
