This book is wonderful. It not only discusses what your child may be doing, but it is instrumental in helping parents play with their child in ways that will help their child. For example, I got my little daughter these super cute little frogs. They are about 1 inch big and just bright and beautiful. However, she NEVER plays with them and has showed NO interest in them. After reading only the first chapter, I began to realize that my daughter likes to experience things with her whole body - climbing in to shelves. So I put the frogs away and instead try and find activities that better suit her little (but very big!) personality. I can't wait to finish the book!

This book was published in 1998, therefore it’s very outdated. It’s got a million of pointless black and white photos throughout. Very repetitive. However there were a few good ideas throughout
