Vita Sackville-West: Selected Writings by Vita Sackville-West edited by Mary Ann Caws, with a forward by Nigel Nicholons is a comprehensive look at the writings of Vita Sackville-West. She was also a poet and novelist, of some worth, and an essayist and critic.

Caws takes selections of Sackville-West's writings and provides a deta

Vita Sackville-West is one of my favorite literary people.

She lived in a time of great change, a Great War and great sexual freedom. She didn't write as much her contemporaries, but she was just as important and vital to the period as Virginia Woolf (a lover of her's) and the Bloomsbury Circle.

The selections collected here are illustrations of Sackville-West's passions: her lovers, her husband, her children, her gardens and Knole (her childhood home).
