Animals and Sociology challenges traditional assumptions about the nature of sociology. Sociology often centres on humans; however, other animals are everywhere in society. A good surface level introduction to the case for sociologists to incorporate animals into the discipline. At times it was a little repetitive considering how short the book is. It is an emerging area of research, but a little more could have been done to explain some of these issues and their pertinence to sociology.
