4 I Wanted More Of Cassie Stars

I liked this book a lot but I wanted it more focused on Cassie and Caine than the rest of the characters. I was especially disappointed of how much space Gaius occupied.
3 plus stars = pretty good.

I liked the bits with Caine and Cassie in Fear the Darkness, but unlike the early books the romance was a really small part of the story and Cain and Cassie's romance was pretty straight forward.

I...liked...the rest but gosh, there were so many past and future characters in the book that I think that almost everyone in the series turned up -that's a slight exaggeration but it sure felt like the whole gang was there. While I liked seeing Viper, Styx, and Salvadore, and
Caine the cur who tried to kill the Salvatore, the King of Weres is back. He has had his prophecy fulfilled and is now a pure bred Were and no longer a cur. He is also the protector to Cassie, the last prophet and the only person with glimpses of the future.

Their story takes them into the mist to battle against the Dark Lord. A battle that leaves Caine in half human/half wolf form. Cassie's quick thinking and faith in him saves him.

This was another great installment in this series. All the for

Quick & Dirty: Great installment for fans of the series, with a dark and creative world. Had me hooked, can’t wait to start this series from the beginning.

Opening Sentence: The abandoned silver mine in the Mojave Desert wasn’t the first place someone would expect to encounter Styx, the current Anasso.

The Review:

Fear the Darkness begins with Cassie and Caine on the run. Cassie is a prophet and many people would like to use her to further their own power. Ca

Fear the Darkness is Cassie and Caine’s story. It has been a while coming and I’m glad it finally got here.

Cassie is one of the were “twins” although I believe there is 4 of them, they are called twins. Each if Cassie's, sisters already bagging (Mating) one of the big hot alpha’s of the previous books…it was time for her story. Cassie has been living in a cave, literally, held prisoner by the uber evil...because she is the prophet. She is rescued by Caine and has been on the run with him from e

I got this ARC via Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion. Alexandra Ivy has done it again. I loved this latest book in her "Guardians of Eternity" series even more than the last one. It was so exciting! Of course , Càine has long been one of my favorite alpha males. He's the original bad ass no longer since he has found Cassandra, his true mate. Cassie is the prophet. Caine has his work cut out for him as he tries to save his mate from the Dark Lord. This book has everything that kept me î ...more

You know what they say about Karma right? Well I'm sure Caine certainly does! He's spent so much time being an evil bastard that fate has come up with the most delicious punishment. He got his wish to turn from cur to a pureblood Were but at the same time he has taken on the task of protecting the most valuable creature in the world from dark forces. Unfortunately for him, he finds her irresistible and his newly found conscience is firm on not taking advantage of

Vampires, Werewolves, Witches oh my! Guardians of Eternity
Book 9, Fear the Darkness has it all with some possessive, alpha male action, steamy romance, good vs. evil and of course a gargoyle that will make any girl giggle. If you have not read the previous books in this series, I would highly recommend doing so. While this book can stand on its own, there are a number of previous story lines that lead up to this one and explain the various creatures that a

Review of Fear the Darkness by Alexandra Ivy

This is book 9 in the Guardians of Eternity series. I had read the first 4 books, have books 5 and 6 sitting in my TBR pile, but haven’t stayed current with the series. I will have to rectify that. I forgot how much I enjoyed Ms. Ivy’s books.

Because I haven’t read all the books, there were some characters and plot threads that I was unfamiliar with. So I would get a little distracted at some points, trying to make connections and understanding the sig

Her Visions Lead Her To Danger

Beautiful Cassandra is a Were, a prophet both vulnerable and defiant, blessed with visions that portend the fate of the world. A rare and delicate creature, Cassie must be protected at all costs. Prophecies and the cryptic predictions that come with seers are a favorite element in books for me. The tension and speculation that is added to a book by this makes the pages fly by with anticipation. I have loved Cassandra from the moment she was introduced in this series. I loved the fact that she misunderstood many things due to her naiveté and taking things quite literally. Thus I have been looking forward to this book.

Caine was incredibly devoted to Cassandra. He did everything within his

“Trust me, that’s a compliment, pet,”-Caine and Cassie

Fear the Darkness is the ninth book in the Guardians Of Eternity series.I wanted to read Cassie and Caine's story for so long a time.
Cassie is one of the four were quadruplets. Each sister has finally found happiness and it's time for Cassie to do so as well.Once a mere cur,Caine, has now become a pure blood were.Actually, this happend in Beyond The Darkness so I would suggest you read

Fear the Darkness is the ninth book in The Guardians of Eternity series. Cassie, a were, is the only known prophet. Caine was once a cur but was transformed into a full blooded were. He has taken the role of protector, but his feelings for Cassie go beyond duty.

I absolutely loved Cassie and Caine together. She has basically been held a prisoner her whole life. She is naïve in some ways, especially when it comes to the opposite sex. Caine is seeking redemption for his past mistakes, and wants to

Fear the Darkness is the ninth book in the Guardians of Eternity series by Alexandra Ivy. The Guardians of Eternity is one of the series that I will keep and cherish forever. This is due to the fact that it has so many key elements that I enjoy. Humor, passion, and deep plot lines. Fear the Darkness fell perfectly into place with this series. If you have not read the previous eight books I think that you might miss out on a

Cassandra (Cassie) is a pureblood werewolf who was genetically altered in the womb so she could never shift. Purebloods cannot carry a pup to term because of the shift to wolf. When she was born, she and her 3 sisters were separated and hidden. Unfortunately Cassie has spent her life hidden from humanity be an evil dark lord, because Cassie has visions of the future.

I presume you know what the book is about. I'm letting you know what I liked or disliked about it.

Wow. I am seriously disappointed in this book. It ended well. Yep. I'll read the next one in the series. Ever the optimist here...

Loved Cassie and Caine's connection, for the most part.

I really enjoyed the first six books of this series. Things (events, plot line, etc.) started to go a bit caddywampus in book 7. Book 8 was confusing as it seemed the plot lines fragmented and went in some strange di
I made it to page 60 and quit, entirely bored. I've read many books in this series and this one is the final straw in the decline of a very formulaic paranormal romance series. When you read parodies of the sub-genre, they are talking about books like you find in this series. Even so, I generally enjoy them, but this one pushed me past my patience threshold. It's just too recycled. The series has lost my interest. This is the story of the prophet werewolf quadruplet - Cassandra, getting together ...more

I really liked the bond between Caine and Cassie..I just wish there was more to it. I found myself equally attracted to the story of Caine/Cassie and with Gaius. Felt almost like the story lines were competing for attention. The piece at the end was good..really happy with Levet:) I felt that Caine/Cassie's ending was a bit rushed..or just needed more closer. I really liked the piece with Gaius in the end. Because of that..assuming he's the next

I loved Caine and Cassie but hated just about everything else in the book, especially characters that are otherwise intelligent vampire/werewolf etc beings making stupid decisions to add a few extra pages to the book. I was yelling at characters in this book the way you would yell at an idiot in b-movie. "What are you stupid?!? Why are you doing that?!? Argh!!! I DESPISED the end of this book. I'm done with this series...

I loved it! All my boys were back! Love my Styx and Salvatore.

Hmm... Well the first 1/3 of it seemed like a pretty good start for the romance between Caine and Cassie. I was really looking forward to their story and how Caine would be accepted by the others. Only, that acceptance was pretty much anticlimactic as when they finally get together there is no ability to argue/talk, etc... and it happens after the over plot, which is what actually makes this book come to the good level, weeds its way into the romance and pretty much takes over. No more Cain

I will start out by saying I have not read the first 8 books in the series. Because of this, I found myself a little lost and unsure of all the characters and how they tied into this story. I of course love any book with werewolves, witches, curs, vampires, and demons!

I found this book to be about the battle of good vs. evil and of course a love story! Cassie is the “Prophet” that was altered

Too Little Romance

He used to be the Bad Guy. The Big Bad of the piece. Hunted for bad acts, reviled for nefarious plans. Caine was the cur obsessed with becoming pureblood. Narcissistic, lacking conscience. Then one selfless act changed his destiny.

First, it killed him. Which, admittedly, was a bummer. Then he was reborn as a pureblood. Perk. But it also thrust Caine into an unfamiliar role: hero and protector of the most important being alive, the pureblood Were and prophet Cassa

There was more action in this part of the series and the story has developed quite well uptil now. Soon this series will be over too.

I actually enjoyed this series, but i am not quite that fond of this series.
Lets just keep it at that.
Cassie and Caine made a good couple and finally there was some hardcore action that some characters played, like Levet, Abby and The dark load. I really liked that scene.
Oh well, time to move on to another part.
This book was packed with major storyline events. It was full of action, danger, and love. A perfect combination.

And while this book is about the relationship between Cassandra and Cain, it wasn't always the main focus of the story, like in the other book of the series. This book was about all the changes and events going on in the world and how Cassie and Caine was entwined in it.

With all the changes that happened in this book I am eager to see what happens next.

I got so involved in the series I just kept reading without reviewing. This series is a roller coaster ride! Demons, gargoyles, werewolves, witches a pheonix and more. The plot is super complex and has me completely under its spell. Bravo Alexandra just brilliant! Write On!
