There's not much to say about a wonderful little book like this other than it's wonderful.

Kay's balance of dark humor and heart-wrenching moments is spot on, and these little snapshots into our protagonists' life, thoughts, and actions.

These are the kinds of poems that resonate, plug straight into your bones, and make them buzz long after you finish them.

These poems perfectly demonstrate why Kay's poetry lingers with me so long after reading. Each line has a perfect sharp beauty which I can't stop turning over in my hands and fondling so matter how much it cuts into my hands. It really has to be read, or heard, to be comprehended. Believe me, the cuts are worth it, though they never completely heal. The poems will stay with you.

Even if I wasn't biased -- which I clearly am -- I would still give this five stars.
