This was definitely written by a non-professional which made it a little difficult to read. The spelling/grammar was off in spots but the author really seemed to be doing this more as a tribute to his dog than worrying about what anyone else thought--and I was okay with that. I, too, have a yellow lab that I adore and it was interesting reading about his relationship with his and how she affected his life. Poorly written self indulgent story which ended up being about the author, his broken marriage and drinking rather than about the dog - very disappointed!

The writer tells the life story of his Labrador Shelley as they travel they UK working, meeting and making friends and enjoying the hobbies of the RNLI and the beach and sea.

As the writers marriage finishes and parents pass away Shelly becomes his greatest companies attracting good attention and sometimes getting them into trouble due to Shelly's personality.

Putting the formatting issues and spelling mistakes aside which is really easy as they book is really good and enjoyable and can get emotio

I enjoyed reading this book. .. I had read the authors other book before this one but ots not a pre requisite. ..apart from the typos and editing issues the actual story was an account of his life with Shelley and how she helped him through some difficult times in his life. ..I'm not ashamed to say I shed a few tears at the end. .. its worth a read but ignore the typos....
