Six years ago strangers broke into Juliette’s house; she was home alone. She kept her eyes closed, praying that if she didn’t see anything, she wouldn’t be killed. No one harmed her. In fact, one of the thieves protected her. Now Juliette’s dreams are haunted by him.

Christian has waited to take her, resisting the urge each night. It always ends badly with human pets. The

Spoilers coming up, but then again, you aren't missing much and I'm sparing you the effort of having to read it yourself. Trust me, go read something else, cause WTF was that???

This has to be the worst thing I've ever read in my entire life, I swear. I'm sorry, I'm sure there are a lot of fans out there, but this book was just fucked up and most of all: Boring. Oh-so-BORING.

My god. The sex wasn't even hot, there was no seduction, nothing. "I took off my clothes. And then he fucked me. And I came

This book... with all due respect to the author and the work she must have put into The Last Girl, it feels completely unnecessary (?). I don't understand why it was written. It's not terrifying. Nor is it actual erotica (I've read new adult books that are more explicit than this one). It is not a love story... I'm not sure what this is meant to be.

So, we have this 700 something years old vampire (Christian - many psychopaths seem to share this name) who has been stalking a girl (Juliette) since

He holds me for a small eternity, and I know I'll do anything, allow him to debase me in any way just to get to this private, intimate moment where I feel I'm the most important thing in his world.

Juliette has been taken by the vampire, Christian. He has watched over her for years now. Waiting for her to age, so that he could make her his pet. So he could use her for his pleasures.

Okay. I don’t know why I read this. I saw it and thought: “it’s like Twilight / Fifty Shades of Grey? MUST READ FOR LOLS.”

This was a mistake. A grave mistake.

So it was pretty obvious what was going to happen from the get go...

Christian is a vampire and he’s decided that Juliette is the girl for him, even if she’s only thirteen when he first meets her. “That’s okay,” he thinks. “I shall wait until she’s nineteen because then it'll be okay.”

And then all hell breaks loose. The language is appallin

Adult review for taboo erotic content (kidnapping and non-con). Not spoiler tagging that because it's something you'd want to know about before deciding whether or not to read the book.

The main reason this book is only getting 2 stars from me is because I've read the same subject matter before from this author, but put together in a far more interesting story. If you're looking to branch out into extreme taboo reading, I'd suggest that you skip this book altogether and pick up Comfort Food inste

Kitty weaves her magic with The Last Girl, and it caught me yet again!
Even though this is not the first time i’ve read it,it still pulls me in from the very first page.
And leaves me with a feeling of confused satisfaction.....

Juliette has been living in a kind of limbo since being spared when her father’s house was robbed when she was only thirteen.
The person that decided she should live, his voice has haunted her dreams ever since.
Even though she never saw his face,he is in her mind every night.

Again! An enthusiastic round of applause for the masterful seductress, Kitty Thomas. Her words are wicked and delightful, haunting and erotic. The stories she weaves always leave me in a state of confusion as to why I enjoy these dark tales, but ultimately I find that I need not ask why only when will the next one be released.

Christian is the dark and commanding force behind all that happens in Juliette’s life. THE LAST GIRL is such a complex novella - it contains erotic undertones similar to t

There are really no words. As Erin said in her review, what is contained in this book falls under my "hard limits". The way things turned around in the ending was not enough to soften the blow. This was not for me.

To be fair, I didn't read the reviews before buying this so I didn't really know what I was getting into. After reading the reviews, I felt I needed to read it before our Smut Monday Club was going to get their hands on it tomorrow.

Let me say, I cannot recommend this book at all. Be w

Hmm, would I rather be with Christian Gray or become Christian's prey?... BITE ME!.... no seriously, I want Christian to bite me.

Yes Christian is a vampire and he absolutely caused some cringe worthy moments, BUT..

....and I liked his view .

I really enjoyed this one. I'm realizing I have a thing for vampires. * shrug* My only complaint is that I felt the story needed a little more depth ...or maybe I'm just being greedy because I wanted more time with Christian -

Just listened to the audio and approved it!
The pain flowers out like a lotus blossom and then transforms into a deep yearning.
He is both the disease and the cure.

Six years after the incident that happened in Juliette’s house, nightmares plaque her every dream of a man whom she'd touch, now the obsession of the man adheres to claiming her, and the time was due.

I wanted more amazingness from the same author who wrote Comfort Food . Something that will make me think and make me flinch and make me gasp all at the same time because that's what happened last time. So it might be partly my fault for raising my expectations too high. The Last Girl fell shortly as a result. There were just so many things wrong with this novella.

Let's talk about the sex scenes first, shall we? It came along as porn to me rather than as erotica. I'll explain: Befor

Oh God, I loved this SOOOOOOO much.

It's no secret that I'm a dark romance fan and paranormal books are usually a bit on the sickly sweet side for me. (It's all that swooning and intense pleasure at bites). Anyway, this was a real treat.

Christian is exactly how I imagine a several hundred old year vampire would be - jaded, cold, and distant. The tone of the book for me was brilliant. I could feel him calculating his next move with cunning efficiency, and I'm not sure if I was jealous of Juliett

Okay, so I had to give myself some time to think about this story before I wrote a review, because parts just didn't sit well with me. I'm a huge fan of dark erotica stories, but certain aspects of Last Girl were too much.

To sum it up quickly, I have two big issues with this story, let's just call them my 'hard limits' for what I can and can not find enticing and sexy! For one, the club scenes. I'm not entirely opposed to stories that have kinky sex scenes in a public fashion, but Juliette bein

Vampire-smut read with a jerk vamp who slowly grows a heart. IMO is wasn’t really steamy, because the couple lacked chemistry and interaction. It also didn’t delve as deep into the psychological aspect of the relationship that Comfort Food did.

Bottom Line-- This is a quick read that sucked me in,🧛‍♂️ LOL and I got through it in one sitting. I enjoyed certain parts, and others felt forced. I wish there was more actual development of the relationship. I didn’t really feel the connection, especiall
I can't begin to express how much I enjoy the amazingly dark and complex stories from Kitty Thomas. At times I have even questioned if it is alright for me to enjoy them so much because they can be so dark and disturbing. I find myself coming back to the same answer, even if the story is hard to take, if the characters won't leave me be then the author has done her job!

As much as I was immediately drawn into the story of Christian and Juliette, it scared me at times. I don't scare easily but th

Now how can I pass up a warning like this???

Warning: This book is meant for a mature audience and contains master/slave, group sexual activity, sadomasochism, girl-on-girl, oral and anal play, exhibitionism, blood play, edge play, as well as one other thing I’m not warning you about because it would be a spoiler... but it’s not a big taboo.

WOWZA!! I may have said it before, but luvs Kitty Thomas' style of feel like you are right there with the characters!!

Can I just say this book is very mature.
It took me completely by surprise and the author had me eating out of her hand by the end.
Wow. Just WOW. I don't know what happened.
One minuet I was reading about a teen in college helping out her mom. The next she had been abducted by a very sexy and intimidating god of a vampire who was using her for sex and for a bite every now and then.
So well written and the ending was everything one could hope for.
I loved it absoloutley loved it.

This one was o.k. I didn't connect with Juliette or Christian which made me feel out of touch throughout the book. I love Kitty Thomas's work in general and do not require a HEA on it since it is erotica and not romance however this one the erotica part just felt not as intense or descriptive or something. It didn't hit me the right way I guess. Overall the story itself was the strength and the erotica was very much secondary if that. Very like Comfort Food but I just didn't get the mind f&*K li ...more

After being warned that this book wasn't going to be for me I was on my way to delete it but I figured I paid for it, so I might as well read the dang thing.

This book is pretty f*cked up. It's graphic and disturbing and disgusting...and yet it was one of those reads where I couldn't stop reading.

The content makes this not a very good read, but for some reason Christian being a Vampire made the blow a little less painful. He's still one sick puppy mind you, but it was easier to read t
Perfectively dark and twisted! The Last Girl has all of delicious darkness you can expect from a Kitty Thomas book but with a paranormal twist.

Well, That was one hell of a fucked up book!!
I usually find the Author's work weird but yet capturing and compelling, but this book I didn't feel that way. The story was wierd and unique which is compelling and hence I finished the book but it wasn't captured because it was absurd! Like 'He put his hands down my panties and I had 3 orgasms till we reached' and stuff like that. Also stuff wasn't detailed so you wouldn't really understand or connect type with the characters. This was...different.

I am a big fan of Kitty Thomas' writing. Comfort Food is one of my all time favorite erotic/dark erotic books. So, I went into this one with high expectations. And though I still enjoyed her writing style, and the dark and twisty feel...I have to say this was a disappointment.

I loved the idea of a dominating hero who was a vampire. I loved the idea of him waiting 6 years to 'claim' her. However, I spent most of my time just not liking Christian at all. And it wasn't because

This one cut deep. I'll read it again once I stop having nightmares!

I am a HUGE fan of Kitty Thomas, so any book of hers goes on my inner TBR list automatically (note: I am so behind on listing my GR read and TBR it's not funny). That said, the cover alone hooked me. I couldn't get it out of my head. Which was torture for awhile, because I had to wait for the book!

For the book itself . . . let's just say I was not disappointed. This isn't a light read, this isn't a book you'll easily forget. I

The Last Girl by Kitty Thomas

This is the first book I’ve read written by Kitty Thomas, her writing is fantastic, her words flowed smoothly, and the plot and character descriptions are well written. Kitty is one fantastic author and gives us a unique dark erotic story.

This story is about Juliette and Christian, Christian is an 800 year old vampire and has waiting 6 years for Juliette to turn of age so he could take her and make her his. It is told in Juliette point of view which I found it easy

“The way you respond to me. You’re poetry in motion.”

This book is dark erotica, very short, but powerful!! I felt like someone writing down their vampire fantasy, an exploration of someone’s psyche as they slowly get broken down, and start loving and hating their abuser.

I’m inside her and she’s inside me.

During the book I like and did not like Christian, which I'm pretty sure is how the writer wants us to feel. But in the end I LOVE him ❤.

I will try another Kitty Thomas book, for sure!!
