Glenlyon's Bride

Rate this book
When he returns to Scotland in 1840, Niall Glenlyon is a man with a reputation. Yet even he cringes at the stories told about him. Seducer of virgins? Far Eastern jungle hero and dabbler in dark magic? Ridiculous! Then Elspeth Victoria Kildrummond lands---literally---in his lap. That's when things really careen out of control. Elspeth is beautiful, well-bred, intelligent...and engaged to another man.

I didn't care for the main characters and the story seemed to lack content. The description on the back of this book is horrible. Elspeth is going to marry someone, but meets Nail who is a recluse and they fall in love. She learns that her home in Scotland was slowly being destroyed by her evil father and former fiance. (eyes rolling)

Wasn't bad, but was too slow in places and shedding about 100 pages would have picked up the momemtum for me. ;-)
