Having loved Alpha Instinct , the first book in this series, I was more than a little eager to jump straight into the next installment. Primal Possession focuses on Liam, Connor’s brother and second-in-command for the Cordana-Armstrong Pack. He was one of my favorite characters in Alpha Instinct, and his growing attraction to the reluctant December was a main subplot.

Here they take center stage with Liam in full bl

I absolutely loved this book. It was so entertaining from start to end. Katie Reus does a fabulous job of balancing the human / wolf side of her shifter stories. When you are reading her stories you feel like they really could happen. That is how real she makes it! Primal Possession had the right amount of mystery and suspense along with love and passion. I never felt like I wanted to skip over parts because I was ready to get past them. Sometimes books add unnecessary love scenes to spice it up ...more

I have to admit. I didn't love Alpha Instinct. But I am glad I gave this second installment in the Moon Shifter series a try, because I enjoyed this one much more.

I was already invested in a Liam-December pairing, since I read the set up for their romance in the last book. Liam is second-in-command to his brother's wolf-shifter pack, and December is the human sister of the town sheriff. The two were attracted to each other from the beginning, but December tried to keep Liam at arm's length. He d

Love the first in this series and the second was even better, it was a great supernatural thriller romance with suspense and loads of sexy wolves so basically a bit of everything.

I was on the fence about this series after reading Alpha Instinct; although I enjoyed it, there were a few elements that would have grated on my nerves in the long-term. Primal Possession has all of the good and none of the bad of its predecessor, plus more action, romance and a kickass ending to boot. December and Liam's relationship is authentic, there's plenty of strong female protagonists in this alpha dominated world and there are enough side stories to ensure that y

This is definitely a series that you want to read in order. You see, Liam met December in the last book, which was when he found out that she was his mate. They went on a date, he saved her life and there was a relationship build-up in that book. Not to mention that Kat, who's another character introduced in the first book, makes an appearance in this book. Well actually it's more of an appearance, she's in it quite a bit and I think it's because her story is next in the series. So, you really n ...more

This series is really starting to come together for me, I loved this installment even more than the first.

In Alpha Instinct I was drawn to Liam, I knew his attraction to December was going to make for an interesting read and I wasn't disappointed.

A shifter and the human sister of the local Sheriff is an interesting combination especially with the APL (Anti-Paranormal League) increasing it's attacks on humans, especially those with strong attachments to shifters. December has already b

Liam found his mate in the first book in the series, and now comes his story with December.
December is a human with a tragic death in her childhood which influenced her and her brother against shifters. Now Liam wont take no for an answer, and she slowly but surely falls for him.
At the same time APL, the AntiParanormal League is targeting all humans who have ties with shifters, so both December and Kat need extra protection.
Great shifter story, par with JR Ward if not even better. (IMHO)

There was nothing about this book that really made it stand out as being all that different than just about any other shifter book on the market. You have your standard pushy, arrogant, alpha male shifter that isn’t all that smart and the weak, ineffective human female that he is stupidly determined to protect, even from himself. That isn’t such a horrible concept, but it is just so typical and common and over done. I didn’t hate this but I also probably won’t remember it a month from now.

Unfortunately I read this series backwards and it really took away from the excitement of this book. I really wish I read from the beginning of the series (don't blame me, I am reading as they become available at my library). I feel like I missed a lot of the key elements of how December and Liam met and I had an idea of what happened with Kat in the barn.

I really love this series and hate that I kind of ruined it by reading out of order.

WELL THAT WAS A CLIFFHANGER

Hmmm no ending. You have to buy the next book apparently. I hate when authors pull that stunt. It doesn't happen often but to leave us readers hanging is just rude and greedy. I guess I'll never know the end cause I'll be damned if I spend money for another book to find out the end!!!!!!

I need to stop this series - the author keeps repeating the same sentences over and over "I wanted to protect her " so I don't respect her and do what I want. Over it

A quick, easy read of the paranormal romance variety. Book candy.
Paranormal Romance
No matter how deeply the heroine cares or desires the hero the fact of the matter is they can never be together. She's far from a racist and the fact that he's a shifter holds no ill intentions in her other than her hesitation to fall for him. Losing a brother to a shifter attack some years ago made her wary of the werewolf pack and if she should even entertain a relationship with one her only family-her brother- will sever ties. It's not something she's willing to risk. But tell that to the her ...more

PRIMAL POSSESSION (Moon Shifter #2) by Katie Reus

PRIMAL POSSESSION is the second full-length novel in Katie Reus’s Moon Shifter series. With the revelation of shifter existence more than 20 years ago, the attacks against the Packs have increased to where entire populations are at risk.

I enjoyed this novel more than I probably should have, considering this is the second time I've read it. But even when I knew what was going to happen, it still made me laugh and smile. All because of the simple fact that Katie Reus is an exceptional author. One that I've enjoyed many times over again, which won't change anytime soon. For her Moon Shifter novels are one-of-a-kind, and they're excellent ones at that.

December has no idea as to why she keeps saying yes to Liam. She knows that they

“I can’t believe you seriously believe the crap that’s coming out of your mouth.”

Liam Armstrong knew the first moment he set eyes on December McIntyre that she was his mate and he would stop at nothing to make her his. December on the other hand wants nothing to do with Liam because of her experiences in the past with shifters and has actually been a target from a shifter hate group because of her relationship with him. Liam and December have given me the most intoxicating and sexy romance to read! They are perfect for one another. I loved reading each character and I loved how December tried her hardest to deny Liam. She is so in love with him from the start that it would be visible to an infant, but I have to give the girl some mad props because she fights it, oh man does she fight it? I loved December and I loved the way that she carries herself. I think December gave me a confidence boost while reading!

Review from Backchatting Books

Shortly after Liam rocked up in town with his pack, he sniffed December McIntyre and realised that she was 'the one'. Unfortunately December is human and she's not willing to mate with or even date Liam. Her brother, the local sheriff, is also dead against any relationship between the two. When December becomes a target for an anti-shifter group, Liam takes a stand.

December is more appealing than our previous heroine, Ana, because her emotions are far more believabl

The shifters of Fontana, North Carolina are still experiencing attacks from the APL, the Anti-Paranormal League. The group has targeted the loved ones of the shifters. They have a very specific reason and they know it is only a matter of time before the shifters give them exactly what they are looking for. The APL members have escalated their attacks in an attempt to see their plan fully culminate. The local law enforcement can only do so much and the Armstrong Cordona Pack is taking as many mat ...more

I really enjoyed this. Not being familiar with this author I wasn't sure what to expect but I was not disappointed. I took a while to read this book after receiving it, but that had nothing to do with the book and more to do with my class load. I always choose books over schoolwork so I had to hid it and put it aside. Once I picked it up I was instantly enthralled with the story. I wasn't one I had to read straight through but I did read it every free moment I found, and some not free moments wh ...more

I have been excitedly waiting for the second installment to the Moon Shifter series. I totally fell for December and Liam from the moment they were introduced in Alpha Instinct (Moon Shifter, #1) by Katie Reus . I love the fact that Liam recognized immediately that December was his mate (even though she is human) and that she was against being with him because of what he was. The author did a great job with the mating dance between these two. Liam was so cute (in a uber Alpha-growly-you are mine to protect-don't get in my way of my mate-kin ...more

Another great story!

Story Thoughts: The 2nd book in Katie Reus' Moon Shifter series is filled with more adventure and drama for the Armstrong-Cordona Pack. This is Liam’s Story. Liam has his eyes set on December and he will stop at nothing until he claims her. Their story is mixed into another plot by the APL to attack shifters and humans who associate with them.

I love the world Katie Reus has built for this series. The idea of a world that is aware of paranormal beings is very intriguing and R
