Warning: Dual POV writing style - 1st person for Gabe and 3rd person for Alejandro

As I sit here, trying to form my opinion on the latest P.A. Brown's story, I find myself in trouble. I don't hate the book -- but at the same time, I cannot say that it's an okay book or that I like it enought consider it a so-so book. I try to digest the reasons. Good but unevenly paced m/m suspense with a tiny bit of almost romance thrown in. Actually, this reminded me of an Oprah book - the depressing stuff tended to overwhelm the happy moments and... it did not end so well.

Actually really enjoyed this. Was dark and gritty and I found I could not put it down. Yes, the writing was not great in some places, but the story more than made up for it.

It was hard to get a feel for Gabe and Alejandro especially (Alej), it was an ok book. I have read other P.A. Brown and loved them, just could not get a feel for this one.
