I beta-read this, so obviously I'm not entirely objective. But there's dragons versus helicopters, and I'm not sure what else one really needs in a book.

If anything I think that Bewitched, Blooded and Bewildered is even better than Blood, Smoke and Mirrors. Cat really comes into her own in this one, no more Mrs. Nice Witch. She fully accepts herself as a bad witch and runs with it. She has the mouth of a sailor and a seriously rapier wit. I only wish I could be half as sharp in real life. I laughed out loud more than once, especially at some of the modern media references (fighting Louis, turning into Darth Vader, Bruce Wayne and Batman)...all v

These books are so weird. I still don't know how I feel about them. The previous book was so good and then we flip back to a different POV and I'm ... lost again.
So, we join Lex and Cat, who are still struggling with Cat and Zach's blood connection. One good thing to come out of that relationship? Faust. He is totally the star here, but I digress. There were rumblings in previous books about some magical folks disappearing at the hands of black ops types and that continues here. What's the one ...more

This book is part of a series and whilst it can be read as a standalone I would recommend reading the previous books first .
Cat has accepted the position of Titania to the Faeries with her partner Guardian Lex accepting the position of Oberon .
She is still trying to break her bond with necromancer Zachery Harrison ( if he dies so does she ) whilst coming to terms with her powers ........... if only she had the necessary time to learn the necessary skills ......... her position is under threat , ...more

Cat and Lex are surrounded by problems that make life less than idyllic for these soulmates. She has been unable to find a spell that will sever the bond that was forced on her by the necromancer Zachery Harrison, supernatural creatures are being kidnapped and killed across Chicago by the Prometheus Group who are being aided by demons and to top it all off Riley O’Driscoll is challenging her for the position of Tatiana.
Another quick, easy read in the series, still the same problems as previous b ...more

Chicago is a wonderful setting for supernatural contemporary tales, as the Dresden Files have shown. This heroine has a lot more going on and she speaks the local patois much better than that Harry fellow.
By this installment she has found her soulmate, the Guardian Lex, who has accepted the position of Oberon so that she can serve as Titania to the local fairies. The ongoing genocide attacks on the witch, mage, shifter and necromancer communities has reached a terrible point--- Samhain is comin ...more

Having loved the first book in the series, this installment shouted “Read me!” I’m so glad I did.
I loved Cat and Lex in Blood, Smoke and Mirrors and was thrilled to get to review Bewitched, Blooded and Bewildered.
As you’d expect in a sequel, there’s less world building in this story and therefore who is who and what the rules are may be less clear for the first time reader, but if you’ve read the first one that shouldn’t be a problem. ...more

I really enjoyed book one - a freebie and eargerly ordered book two. it doesn't dispppoint. cat is stuck with a dangerous blood bond with vampire Zach. Her husband Lex (swoon) is naturally not happy about this as if Zach dies so does Cat, added to that Zach and Cat can feel each others emtions and talk mentally to each other. Zach thinks he loves Cat so is happy to share the bond but she and Lex are secretly searching for a way to break it - the consequeces of which lead them into needing help f

In general I loved the book, it’s full of good characters, good story, nice tempo and good writing. Just one thing is still nagging me – from time to time I got the feeling as if I have missed a book between Blood, Smoke and Mirrors and Bewitched, Blooded and Bewildered.
And what do you know, it seams I really have – Bloodlines and Broomsticks. Can somebody tell me, is it already published in some anthology or it really is still to come?
But still all in all – good book!
