A Southern girl with an overactive imagination, Terri Garey writes award-winning and critically-acclaimed urban fantasy. Her novels have been described as "smoldering" by Publishers Weekly, and "sultry and upbeat" by Library Journal. Even though she's a big scaredy-cat who can't watch horror movies or visit haunted houses, she loves moonlit graveyards, moss-covered headstones and the idea that life goes on even after it's over. You can visit her on the web, friend her on Facebook and occasionally find her on Twitter.

Fun, quick "spooky" fix

This was a really fun, quick read. Perfect for a lil fix during spooky season. The characters were really well done for such a short glimpse into their lives.

A quick read

I just love snarky humor and Terri Garey's writing style is always a very enjoyable read. I've read all her books but this one is still my favorite.

maka jadilah nicki dibantu michelle & joe menyamar sbg hantu michelle & meneror si pembunuh agar mengakui perbuatannya.

ceritanya sangat ringan & cepat dibaca.

I'd never read anything by Terri Garey before, so this novella seemed like a good place to start. The story is an entertaining mix of bridesmaid nightmares, redneck family, and paranormal mystery. While the premise of the main character may not be the most original (woman who has near-death experience is now visited by some spirits having trouble moving on), the characterization and plot kept me interested and the dialogue was quite entertaining. I'm very glad I picked this up and now have some Nicki Styx novels on my wish list!

A quick, fun read. As expected, it doesn't advance the series storyline much since it was originally published in an anthology, but it's nice that it is now available separately.

Short story that whilst spooky, deals with rape & murder. It managed to make me laugh despite the subject. Very well done especially being a short story!
