Borrowed this book from the library and read it for my 5 year old. He loved it a lot and wanted me to read it again! Cars & candy! They are boys' dream! Ralph wants to be a good guy then he goes and do things, unexpected things and realized he didn't need a medal to prove he's good. A great book for kids!

Sugar Rush is just a part of the movie Wreck-It Ralph! The title is seriously misleading, as a reader assumes this is a spin off of the movie itself. One is left very disappointed when they realize that what they just bought is the movie in disguise, a rouse to make financial gains.
One is taken through the brief stages of the film, establishing the role of Ralph, Vanellopie stealing his medal and entering a race car contest, Ralph assisting her with building a race car, and Vanellpie winning the contest. Yet here it stops and the story ends. Thus it covers 3/4 of the movie.
Nevertheless, if one hasn't seen the movie Wreck It Ralph, one may enjoy this book. Littered with brightly colored pictures and eye appealing building and structures made out of candy, any child will appreciate the book. Yet the sentence structure and advanced grammar puts this book geared toward 7-10 year-olds.

I was not impressed with this book. It skips huge sections of the movie yet it spends about 8-10 pages just on Ralph and Vanellope making Vanellope’s car. The pictures are decent even if they aren’t the best but I just don’t think this is a good representation of the movie. It could have been done a lot better.
