Worst personal finance book read by far

Go read the Little Book of Common Sense Investing, The Simple Path to Wealth, I’ll Teach you to be Rich, or even The Latte Factor.

After reading any of those books, you can easily validate the numbers in the books and decide for yourself if it make sense paying a FA a fixed % fee for keeping up with the market (index) which more often than not they don’t. FA should only be paid when they match market returns for each year or when they outperform the market index, just like how most of us are paid based on our annual KPIs.

Otherwise just learn to buy an ETF yourself. It’s not rocket science and it’s better to be average than to pay someone to be worse than average when you’re old and frail at 65yo.

Relevant för Amerikaner och skulle mer kunna heta: "How to get your finance in order for a wealth retirement and how to have your estate in order when you die."

I certainly skipped chapters that I felt were uninteresting or not relevant to me. The chapters I did read were very informative, but certainly bland. I learned a lot, but perhaps there is another book out there that's more exciting and with the same material. I did appreciate that there was mention to estate planning for lgbt people, especially since the book was written in 2005.
