This is a book I was assigned in college and could never read it at all no matter how hard a tried. I wasn't a Christian and I found it all to be gobbledy-gook. Now I read it with enthusiasm and a thankful heart. These are great sermons from so long ago.

His works are notable for their realistic and sensual style and include sonnets, love poetry, religious poems, Latin translations, epigrams, elegies, songs, satires and sermons. His poetry is noted for its vibrancy of language and inventiveness of metaphor, especially as compared to that of ...more
