I thought this book held an amazing amount of information about skeletal systems for children. It's great at explaining why animals bones have adapted to suit their lifestyles. There are many relevant photos showing a wide variety of skeletons.
I could never get enough of these as a kid. Now as an adult with an even keener interest in comparative anatomy, I still find myself spending ages poring over a book whose texts would normally be a quick half-hour read.
Love love love this book. It was my 2.5 year old daughter's favorite bedtime book for a while. We couldn't exactly "read" it but it had such cool content with lots of visuals. I taught her how to find some of her own bones too.
Is set up to walk you through the human skeleton and other animal skeletons. This book has a lot of information in it about skeletons. I like the way DK sets up there informational books with larger portions of text and then smaller more detailed information scattered throughout the pages.
I know these are made for younger readers but I enjoy them very much. Great pictures and layout make them a joy to read. I always learn something new from them. This volume had a reference to a lost chapter in the Bible, in the book of Daniel called "Susanna and the Elders". Highly recommended
This book is great for kids to look at. I would have loved to have a book like this when I was younger. It shows different animal and human skulls and bones. Very interesting book to look at.
Perfecto para aquellos niños que disfruten de los fosiles y animales, repleto de obras de arte y datos curiosos que lo vuelve entretenido en cada pagina.

A very clear and informative overview of the skeletal system of not only human beings, but of all different types of animals, including exoskeletal ones. Jam packed with real photos and x-rays.
