I really disagree with presenting the material this way. These B-stories were originally printed at the ends of each issue of the series and frequently tie into the plot of the A-story as flashbacks or interesting character moments. It makes way more sense to read them that way than it does to read them all together like this after the references to the main plot aren't as fresh.
Content-wise, there's a good variety here, although, of course, the quality is all over the map. It's especially interesting to see Salvador Larocca doing some reasonable art as I'd only previously seen his much-maligned Star Wars work.

Some of the history stories for some the characters were actually really nice to see. The artwork was really well done as always however it got to be somewhat awkward for all the different artists who all have different varying styles to be in the same book together. However it was still a great read.
