I just finished reading "I Am Albert Einstein". This book is a biography about Albert Einstein. This book is about his life and many discoveries like E=mc2 and many more. I would recommend this book to elementary schoolers because it was very short and easy to read. I enjoyed reading "I Am Albert Einstein".

While the book was well written and did give factual information about Albert Einstein, my students found that the format was distracting. There were several spots within the book that the sentence should have continued on the next page but extras graphics (definitions of science types, lists of his papers, etc) were put next and then original sentence picked back up 2-3 pages later. While the extra information was beneficial, it should have come after the end of the chapter or at least after th ...more

This book is about a man named Albert Einstein the worlds smartest genius. I really like this book because I really got to learn about someone who had such an impact in the world and technology. I recommend this book to anybody who wants to learn or learn more about Albert Einstein. Some things that made me think that this book was good was when it told all the facts about Albert Einstein and they backed that up with evidence. Some weaknesses of this book is that there are too many pictures. If ...more

Great illustrations and extra resources/info in the back of the book.

Enjoyed reading and discussing with a small group of students and learned a lot from it too!

1)The Shocking Truth About Energy by Loreen Leedy. Copyright July 2011.

2)I chose to use the book “The Shocking Truth About Energy” along with a biographical book Albert Einstein because I wanted to connect the concepts of energy we will be learning about with Einstein in a manageable way for my 3rd graders. After reading about Einstein, I know my students will have a lot of information floating around in their heads about his life and his contributions to science. By transition into reading abou

"I am Albert Einstein" is an informative book all about Albert Einstein. This book provides lots of information about Albert Einstein such as when he was a child up until the day he passed away, it especially talks about what he is best known for, E=mc^2. On one of the first pages of the book there is a timeline, this time starts in 1879 when he was born and ends in 1955 when he passed away. There are several illustrations in this book that can help students better

This book was cute and educational. It is a little long and has multiple chapters so I would say it is more suited for 7 years and up. The book starts as in autobiography style, then gives a short description of the characters that will be introduced as well as a timeline of Albert Einstein's life. I think this will be helpful for those who need to write a report on Einstein. There are few illustrations throughout the book. The ones they have look to be hand sketched and are all a copper/brownis ...more

If how you spend New Years’ Day is predictive of your coming year, my 2015 will be spent vacillating between the desperate lows of hungover insomnia and glorious moments of divine illumination. Before dawn on the 1st I’d finished the only book I could find in the dark: “I Am Einstein”, shoved deep in my son’s Christmas stocking.

What I Learned: Never underestimate the power of a Level 5 reader! (Plus, the illustrations are awesome.)

I finally get it! Einstein’s theories of relativity make sense! S

This book was really cool! It had a lot of cool information about Albert Einstein and science. The coolest thing I learned about Albert Einstein was when he was a kid he hated school but grew up to love learning especially science. It was also cool that when he was younger he was hated by lots of people but when he discovered the general theory of relativity, which was about earth and gravity, he became famous almost instantly. It was really interesting that he didn't talk until he was 2 and whe ...more

In my opinion I think that this book was an amazing book.I like this book because Albert Einstein is one of role modles and it is facinating learning about him.My favorite part of his life was is childhood becuase he started of as a very shy boy to a kid that every teacher hated.I think the person that helped him the most during the World War 2 was his cousin/wife Elsa.I don't like that U.S had to use the atomic bomd beacuase after Albert Einstein felt gulityand regreted ever making the formula. ...more

The book that I read is titled I Am Albert Einstein. The author is Grace Norwich. This book genre is a nonfiction book, because it was about a real famous scientist. The setting of this book is in Albert's hometown. The main characters are Albert and his family and wives and children. This book describes Albert's life down to the tiniest detail. It tells about where he traveled where he went to school and much more. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because it is so detailed with a lot of descri ...more

This book was okay. It was kind of boring though. I am surprised that someone that ended up as smart as Albert Einstein didn't actually like school. I am also surprised that it was hard for him to find a job. I was surprised that Einsteins first wife didn't die since she got sick so often in the time period that it was. This so far was my favorite who was book but I don't usually like nonfiction. I would only recommend this book if someone needed a nonfiction short book, but not something to get ...more

This book was pretty good. It was really short and I leaned a lot about Albert Einstein. I thought it was really weird how he never really liked school but turned out to be a great inventor. I always see the saying "Even Einstein Asked Questions" and it's one hundred percent true. Even the greatest of scientists asked questions. This book had a lot of information on Albert Einstein. I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn about one of our worlds greatest scientists.

I read this book in Spanish and was blown away by how much information was packed into such a short book. To be fair, I use it as part of my class library for low level high school Spanish classes.

It is definitely interesting but not readily understandable to learners in levels 1 and 2. It is not a reader but rather a regular Spanish adaptation of the English book by Scholastic.

Surprised at how much I learned reading this elementary school title.

I learned a lot from this book. It was very informative. Did u know that Albert Einstein never said a word till he was two years old. Or that he never liked school. He was always encouraged to ask questions at home but was never allowed to ask questions at school. He also didn't get along with the other kids and teachers. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about Albert Einstein.

I think Albert Einstein was crazy, however his name has become synonymous with genius. He discovered some of the most astounding works this world has seen. I really enjoyed reading about how as a child they didn't believe he would amount to anything and looking at all of the things he has accomplished and achieved from Nobel Prizes to professorship, he changed the way the world viewed the physics of light.

Before reading this book I knew Albert Einstein was a genius but I didn't know a lot about him. This book was a really easy read but a very interesting one. I am glad I read it and learned more about one of the most important scientists to ever live. I don't think I would actually suggest this book just because of the reading level.

This was a good introduction of Einstein. Easy to read and understand for children. Nice timeline to follow and a few drawings of family members. I wish there were a few more personal facts about him. Overall I liked it.

Quaint, gained a few quotes from this book, and was prompted to read the Critique of Pure reason by its due mention.

I didn't like this book. It was super boring and I couldn't get into it. I don't like nonfiction which is why I didn't like this. It is super weird that Albert married his cousin.
