This was all over the map, literally. How to survive in the desert, how to survive in the arctic, how to survive in groups, how to survive alone. This was useful in some ways, but items such as "edible plants" vary so much by climate that parts of it felt useless -- why read all of this when you would of course forget all of it because it references plants you have never seen? I was absolutely not prepared to eat a single plant based on the unclear, black and white illustrations! But I was glad to learn, again, about my favorite fantasy: the survival still.
