Wolfsong is a wonderful novel about finding home and filling out the shape destiny has given you.

Kia is such an original character - I was expecting your typical 'alpha' werewolf but Calhoun proved me wrong! He is very much like an ordinary boy but with hidden leadership qualities deep within that he learnt to use and show when going from this realm to the 'werewolf' realm.

The world-building may have been slightly off (I don't see how another realm can be only filled with two werewolf clans an

Ever wonder if or when you had the nerve to go and talk to a girl, and when you do she likes you back and makes you tongue tied. For Kia having a crush on a girl is normal for any teenager, but when sad girl turns into a wolf normal doesn't even begin to cover it. Especially when she says he needs to return with her and become alpha of the pack yeah life just got a little weird for Kia, to think today he thought would be nice because he was going to talk to a girl. Boy was he wrong, never the id ...more

I am crazy about everything supernatural, there is just something about it that thrills me. Add in some adventure, action, mystery, romance, supernatural creatures and royalty, and that makes the perfect recipe for a well adored book for me.
I happened by Wolfsong by chance while browsing for some good paranormal and werewolf stories on Wattpad and upon reading the epilogue, decided to give it a try. Well! I was seriously not disappointed!

4.5 stars. I absolutely loved this book! The characters were amazing, the plot intriguing, and the world building was beautiful.
The book was about a boy, Kia, who learns that he is a werewolf and is set to lead his pack in their realm, the Otherside. The premise sounds a little strange, but I love paranormal so I jumped in. (Read it on wattpad!) boy am I happy I did. Kia was an amazing character and I was rooting for him the entire time. His romance with Arii was sweet, and I loved the absence

Like I said, Wolfsong is kind of predictable which started off as the protagonist not knowing that he is a mythical creature and an Alpha or the last descendant of a Royalty. Then by a situation out of his control he was turned into the being he didn't imagine or think as possible. He resisted to accept the fact that he is already one of them until later on, he grew to love everything that has become of him that he can no longer imagine life otherwise. After he met a beautiful girl who was suppo ...more

This book is a beautiful story about a boy, Kia, who was tricked into the Otherside, a realm where people have no technology and have two forms, human and wolf. It was revealed to Kia there that his father, Kitane, was actually the King of the pack, Altehrei. This makes Kia Silverwind the unwilling and unaware half-blood Prince of Altehrei. That was not the reason he was kidnapped, though. Kia was told that his father had gone missing a few months back, leaving him the new King of Altehrei. Kia ...more

I read this on Wattpad!! (what can I say about that site, I love it!!)
Anyway, found it quite by accident while I was looking for some werewolf stories (I know I should be ashamed but right now I'm hooked with them...).
Sooo, this story is about a young -normal as he thinks he is- teen returning one day from school to see a stray wolf-dog in a alley that he has been taking care of (his mother doesn't like dogs in their home) when a wolf attacks him. That's how Kia finds out that he is a werewolf.

This is a good story about a young boy who lost his father when he was young, and then learns the reason why and his try heritage. He learns that he is part werewolf and he is heir to the throne in a different dimension. The book is about him learning to fit into this new role of his life and accepting who he supposed to be while trying to fight a war against another pack of wolves. I really did enjoy the characters in this book and the storyline and the whole premise of another dimension where ...more

Wolfsong really blew me away. I used to be indifferent to werewolves and liked Vampires more, but Wolfsong made me see a whole new light on werewolves, and now I love them. She wrote from a teenager's point ov view, and I love stories like that especially. I loved the suspense in each chapter. Kia'la captivated my heart even more than Arii did. I would definitely recommend this book to my friends and family.

If I am writing this, then I must be finished with the book. That makes me sad. This was one of those books that I wished would go on and on. I loved it!

I don't read many books about werewolves. But I am glad I read this one. This was a complimentary copy from BookRooster dot com. I am so glad I asked to give it a try. There is romance and adventure yet real life of home and family. Kodilynn Calhoun combined it all and came up with a plausible story. A story that makes you feel good, even in the

I received a complimentary copy of Wolfsong in exchange for my honest review of it.

I enjoyed this book immensely. Kia'la is a half-human, half-wolf heir to the throne of his father's people. He has absolutely no idea who he is. That is until, shy and awkward Kia meets Arii. She has come to Kia's world, the human world, to seduce him to the come home with her. He doesn't want to leave, so Arii returns to her world. I loved, loved, loved this book! It was amazing. It caught my eye from the first chapter and I couldn't put it down, I stayed up all night to finish it! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone, it had just the right amount of everything to make it completely captivating. Arii and Kia were completely relatable and I felt like even through all the new things Kia was introduced to, he took it in stride without being unrealistic. Wolfsong is a YA-ficton novel that I couldn't put down when reading it. I practically inhaled it, it was that good. With a perfect mix of suspense and adventure, blended with quirky humor and sprinkled with a refreshing romance, it is truly a book worth your time.
Although, as every book, it has a downside. In my opinion, the unraveling of the end could have been a bit more complex, the puzzle not that easily solved. And yet, that small drawback makes Wolfsong all the better. It doesn't do for

At first I was wary about reading yet another werewolf story, and I was sure that it was just going to be another cliche romance novel about alphas, but after reading the first few chapters I became intrigued with this book and kept reading.

The author did a very good job with going into detail about the mythology and background of the story which I loved to read as it gave me a greater understanding if the story.

The one thing I didn't really like was the fact that the story was very short and I

My personal view on this book, is amazing and is very enticing. It's so unique and the whole plot of it is genius,as it's not you're typical 'werewolf' book, you find amongst the wattpad region. All the characters are very loveable even Skita with her charming ways yet very heroic but I won't spoil it for you readers. I found this book to be quite addicting. Kia, the lead protagonist started as a typical teenager, lacking knowledge about the otherworld, but developed into a true leader worth respecting. He suddenly had to make choices beyond just himself, and he had a constant struggle of being forced to leave his old life behind. Arii, a werewolf who first introduced herself to Kia, was a very headstrong character. It was noticeable very early on that she would do anything for both Kia and her brother Al.

This book is an awesome tale of an seemingly ordinary boy who becomes absolutely extraordinary. It reminds me of all the dreams I had when I was little of being whisked off to a magical place where my wildest imaginings became my reality. I ripped through Wolfsong in a day, and spend the next week wishing I had drawn it out longer because my book hangover was so bad. The novel has great character development, especially on the part of Kia, and a lovely tale of romance. If you have a lull in your ...more

An original story with a twist I have never read of before. I have found this on wattpad and it was deffinitely a one-of-a-kind book that i have ever read. Having read so many werewolf stories, i got tired with the same story plot and this book really gave me a very different side on werewolf stories. The story is in the male lead's perspective, compared to the usual female heroine taking the lead, this is definitely a fresh new story that got me out of my boredom. I loved WolfSong! I'll be honest, when I first started this up I figured it would be poorly written and uninteresting, as quite a few stories on WattPad(where I found it) of this genre are. I was very pleasantly surprised to find it had excellent writing, a heart tugging plot line, and amazing characters! I grew to love all the characters immensely because, come on, how can you not love shy little Aliel, hyper Arii, and protective Kai. I found the plot-line to be unique and I adore it so much!

I discovered Wolfsong on Wattpad (a place indie writers go to post their stories) and it was my first werewolf story. I was not disappointed. The characters are original and realistic, and it even has an LGBT (which was a nice touch, I must say).

The only bad part about this story (which isn't really that big of a deal) is that only the Altehrei and the Rashti were living in the Otherside, which is supposed to be a completely different world. But overall, I really, really enjoyed it. 4.8 werewolve

Wolfsong was one of the best books I have ever read. I loved the diversity in the names, like you had Arii instead of a common name like Sarah. I also liked that this book had the idea of the Otherside, most werewolf stories don't have things like that so yours was set apart from them. Another thing that I liked about Wolfsong is that it had good plot twists and it kept me in suspense wanting to read more. I can't remember when I started the book all I know is that it's one of the few that I will read over and over again. The story line is very unique as well as the names of the characters and that's what got me. It's one of those books you stumble upon, question it at first and then fall in love with the book itself. I'm a huge book worm and this is one of the books that I will gladly boast about until everyone gets annoyed with me.

For those of you who like werewolves, romance, adventure, and a bit of action. Read this book. I can almost guarantee that after the first chapter you'll be hooked. I was, and I'm happy to say it was one of those few books I couldn't stop reading. Not to mention it is only one of three books I wish would never end. Seriously, I am proud and happy to have read it on Wattpad, and I bet others would as well if they took the time to get the book and read it.

this book......awesome, it gave everything a book needs to give to achieve favourite book level. With compelling characters, an epic storyline, just the right amount of funny and a beautiful romance, I can honestly say there was nothing this book did wrong except leave you panting for the sequel. Wolfsong is a great book that could interest boys and girls alike. I love how Ms. Calhoun was able to write the dialogue and the world building so creatively that I felt if I could just step into the pages and be there.
The names that are given to the characters in this book are so mysterious, I almost wished I could nickname my sons by those names. I think any late age teen could really appreciate this story. For more of my review go to

This book was amazing, I've read it at least 3 times and adored it even more. The book started out strong and ended gracefully. My favorite character happens to be Grey (love him!) but he's followed by Shae. I recommended it to a few of my friends and family members and they loved it too! I can't wait to see how the series ends!!!!! Anyway I absolutely loved the book (found it on wattpad!)

Kodilynn Calhoun is a 25-year-old gal from Indiana. She’s been writing seriously for over 12 years; her first real novel was a 300-page fantasy monster with little plot and plenty of randomosity. Today, she’s mostly a writer of YA paranormals and is a sucker for a good love story and the fantastic: werewolves, shifters, incubi, and gargoyles? You name it, she probably writes it (and hopes you like ...more
