I love travelling (especially in Eastern Europe, Ukraine and Romania). I believe that Dawsons Creek is deeply underated. If it was allowed I would eat bacon three times a day.
I like to invent silly dances and embarrass my friends. Basketball is good, as are whales.
If any of this needs clarification, please ask.

Again, I'm biased, but if you liked Song to Wake to then this is for you. Bigger, longer, more complicated than the first episode, this takes Madeleine and Eddy to another Levels completely...

This book had lots more action and adventure than the first and I found it very exciting, it had me on the edge of my seat many times. I felt that Maddy was braver this time round which is a good thing because the story seems to be getting much more dangerous.

I enjoyed reading about all the travelling that Maddy and her friends did, the descriptions gave me a real sense of being there with them and added to the extra excitement.

There were new things for Maddy to worry about and also new things to make her smile, I was really intrigued by the mysterious emailer and even more intrigued by new character Jon who brings some fun and happiness into Maddy’s life at a time when Eddy is acting strange around her and making her feel sad.

Like the first there were also lots of things to be discovered in this story, mainly about other people this time though. It felt like I was reading a puzzle, fitting all the pieces together and even at the end there are still lots of pieces to find places for.

The ending of this story is fantastic, it leaves so many possibilities for the next book. Although I’d love to see Eddy and Maddy as a proper couple there is a part of me that hopes there is more to come for Jon and Maddy!

A magical story that really captured my imagination, I am eagerly awaiting the next instalment.

I love this series. It's so smart and funny, but I didn't think that anything could beat the first one.
This probably did, though. It's got more characters, and it's more exciting, and scary, and there's some super cool travel locations that made me really want to go to Portugal and the Azores - among other places.
The main thing, though, is the guys. the magnificent Eddy Moon, and the completely charming Jon Esmere. Who to go for? Who! Who!
The ending really hooked me into the next one which... Hurrah! is released now!

The 2nd book in the Levels series, Rock Anthem, was published on Christmas Eve for a young adult audience.

I found the revival of the Arthurian legend in the modern world refreshing. What happens when King Arthur, Merlin and the Lady of the Lake enjoy a Christmas break from school? They don't stay in town to celebrate. No why do that, when they can fly in private jets, cruise on yachts, and visit faraway lands.

Besides being very entertaining, it is action packed with one fun adventure after another.

I just finished her second book and I'm all ready starving for number three.

Another very good story by J.D. Field. I did like it better than the first. I really like how the knights are starting to come into the story. Hated the Epilogue... LOL Guinevere has never been a character I've liked. I've never liked Lancelot much either, always on Authur's side. Very much looking forward to the next installment.

If you like the legends of King Authur and YA novels, this is one series you should give a shot.

very cool concept.....as good as any of the likes of Hunger Games and would make an excellent movie! A little slow, fast, slow and I have never in my life wanted to sometimes shake a character like Eddy Moon! Great story and love the linking in of old english legends to real modern life, which is why it would make a great movie. Very clever and addictive.

Hi JD! I loved it! Saw NOTHING coming - had inklings, which was awesome, but the suspense was very exciting, loved the whole mythology you're building!
Can't wait for Lullabies!

This is the second in the Levels series, so if you haven't read Song to Wake to, you'll probably want to read that first (it's not necessary, you'll still be able to follow this one, but who wants to come in late and miss the start of the saga?)

Swords, yachts, fights, kisses, private jets, labyrinthine houses, secret caves, enormous lizards, love, jealousy, beautiful islands, deceit and ancient myths. Think that about covers it!

Ugh, I was so tired of Eddy Moon in this one. I was wanting Maddy to fall for anyone other than Eddy Moon. She was worried about Jon stalking her at one point, but she was doing the exact thing to Eddy. Walking all over the school to find him, pining over him every other sentence. When he wasn't involved in anything I found that the story progressed so much nicer because there was this obsession with how he looked, how he was sitting, just every tiny thing about him. It was almost painful. I'm really not sure I'm going to progress any further with this series, which is kind of sad because I do like the premise behind it. Just the obsession with Eddy Freakin' Moon was too much for me.

There are a lot of irritating little typographical errors in this book. I'm almost ready to dock another star between the errors and the things I don't like about the story. That said, the author has a very interesting premise going, and I love reading Arthurian legends. The idea of the legend set in today, with today's people has been well executed. While I like the premise of the story, I do wish it was slightly more believable that these two major characters have all these extremely wealthy friends willing to help out all the time. What makes Maddy so fascinating to all of these characters? If she's really that pretty, she would know and use that knowledge.
