Koeneke is a champion of Flarf and other playful forms of nonsense and mischief. In a weird way, some of these pieces remind me of stuff that I used to write--back in the days when I would imitate Jesse Bernstein at open mics. This book was a lot of fun.
Rodney Koeneke is author of the poetry collections Etruria (Wave Books, 2014), Musee Mechanique (BlazeVOX, 2006), and Rouge State (Pavement Saw, 2003) as well as several chapbooks. He’s also published a historical monograph, Empires of the Mind: I.A. Richards and Basic English in China, 1929-1979 (Stanford University Press, 2004).
