Now, it’s Christmas Eve, Raylan is back in town, and Chase can’t wait to see him. Raylan makes plans to meet Chase for a dr

Christmastime is a time for love and a time to be with the ones you love. In this short story by Megan Slayer two long-time lovers are desperate to reconnect over the holidays when life, and old loves, start getting in the way. Will they let jealousy and uncertainties ruin what they have or will they realize how much of a gift true love is before it's too late?

This was a quick yet entertaining read with two likable main characters going through a rough patch in their relationship after being apa

Article first published as eBook Review: Believe by Megan Slayer on Blogcritics.

It's Christmas time, and lovers Chase and Raylan are apart. Chase is playing gigs near home to make ends meet, while Raylan is off travelling and taking photos of rock stars and celebrities. As if it didn't suck enough being apart at this time of year, Chase's musical creativity is totally sapped when his Muse isn't around - which is just another reason he's desperate for Raylan to come home. Add that to the weird ph

Review: This was truly a heartwarming story of two men, together yet still unsure of each other – and themselves. As I began reading this story, I thought there must have been a part one – an earlier book that explained Raylan and Chase meeting, getting together, falling in love – but this is a stand-alone so don’t panic if think you’ve missed som

At 29 pages BELIEVE is a quick read that packs a lot of emotion and drama. Chase and Raylan love each other but their relationship is strained by schedules that don’t mesh and by distance that keeps them apart. Theirs is a story of trust that’s strained not only by their schedules, but by the interference of so-called friends, an ex-lover and a jealous rock star. The seeds of doubt are sown and take root quickly in this holiday tale and what should be a joyous Christmas Eve reunion is

I found this book a bit strange. There was a lot of implied back story, confusing memories that got in the way of what was actually happening, and too many names and characters to keep track of (especially since a lot of them only appeared briefly and seemed to play no role in the story). I may have missed something, but I couldn't get close to the characters, and didn't manage to feel their emotions at all. The whole thing seemed rather contrived to me, and while Raylan and Chase seemed to be v ...more

Megan Slayer packs a lot into this novella. Great characters - Chase and Raylan have good chemistry together. Add a realistic plot, plenty of emotion, throw in the heat and you have a fun, sexy story. Two thumbs up.

I felt like this started as a sequel, or like I was already supposed to know who these characters are. Was I missing something to read before this?

When she's not writing the stories in her head, Megan Slayer can be found luxuriating in her hot tub with her two vampire Cabana boys, Luke and Jeremy. She has the tendency to run a tad too far with her muse, so she has to hide in the head of her alter ego, but the boys don't seem to mind.
When she's not obsessing over her whip collection, she can be found picking up her kidlet from school.
