this book by charlotte lamb actually has a heoine who stands up for herself and doesn't like to take any guff from a mere man. and the man who is the "hero" would be put in jail in this day and age if he dared to lock a secretary in his suite so she couldn't tell anyone what she had been working on for him; of course, in this day of smart phones with cameras, etc., she could sue him and win big bucks!

Sugary sweet/clean manga romance, where the leads dislike each other from the first meeting but only in a few short pages, head to the wedding chapel. I also get that the pink ink is supposed to be cute for younger teens, but it makes it hard to read.

Claudia is a struggling want to be actress. In the mean time she is living and working with/for her sister. She also works as a part-time secretary for a hotel who rents/hires the secretaries out for work for guests at the hotel since they have many business travelers who may need a secretary. Sounds questionable, yes I know! But it is suppose to be legitamate. When Ellis hires her to type up his top secret speach and then requires her to stay in one of the hotel rooms under lock and key. Claudia thinks that she hates him and when she gets fired from the hotel she hates him more. La da da da da, and not seeing each other and one kiss later, la da da da da, one more kiss and then happily married after and there is the entire story for you. Sorry!

Yeah... no!
The hero needed to get down on his knees and beg.
The heroine needed to get some damn pride and learn when to walk away. She totally undervalued herself. Self esteem is a bitch.
