Yuck's Slime Monster is by author duo, Matt and Dave. In the book contains two stories, Yuck's Slime Monster and Yuck's Gross Party.

Yuck's Slime Monster:
Yuck's sister, Polly, squashes one of his slugs so Yuck fetches it to school to take care of it. His teacher, the Dragon catches him with his slug and punishes him for having the slug at school and Yuck has to watch over Cuddly Corner for the next week. While at Cuddly Corner he has an idea. A great idea. He's going to make his own slime machine

I'll say this much - it takes some effort to make Captain Underpants look highbrow, but there you have it. Yuck is, well, grosser than gross. He's dirty, he plays with slugs and eats worms, he has underwear that is so dirty it becomes sentient...

I don't know. I love Captain Underpants. I really enjoyed The Day My Butt Went Psycho. This just seems like it's gross for gross's sake, and maybe I'm becoming too much of an old man these days, but this really didn't work for me.

Well, I got to page 22 when I decided I had far better, more interesting, and fun things to read and decided not to waste any more of my precious time. I'm sure there is a readership for this sort of book (young boys who are into comics and gross anything) but if I choose not to finish a book for whatever reason I rate it a 1 star. Didn't hold me past Hero and Hammie creating a bucket full of slime over night...

While I pride myself on being open minded as a children's librarian, I found this book repellent from the get go and just couldn't enjoy it. Gross for sake of grossness to be honest. Had no liking for any of the characters. Still young readers that love icky stuff and snicker at bathroom style humor may like it or even love it. Not me.

Yuck is pretty creative when it comes to things that are gross, including slug slime. Another disgusting book in the Yuck series.

Gross, potty humor, disgusting drawings, perfect for your 1-3 grade readers wanting gross, totally silly, obnoxious easy chapter books. Grosser and more base then Capt. Underpants.
