Wedding season is definitely at the height of the season right now and this book is a great one to read during these months. However, a word of caution, if you are the bride, maybe read it after you have tied the knot!

The book follows three women, who are due to get married and the book is split into each of their individual story, although each women is in each others story, providing an intertwining story throughout the three forthcoming weddings. The three characters met in Freya'

Another lovely book from Milly Johnson. Three wonderful main characters, satisfying love stories, mysterious otherworldly bits, and some excellent snarky dialogue. Also, I love how Johnson writes from the perspective of both the men and women and how she focuses more on their feelings and less of sexual mechanics.

Some profanity and mildly sexy but mostly heartwarming with some twisty turny moments.

I went into White Wedding just knowing that I would love it and become a Milly Johnson fan. I wasn't wrong. White Wedding was my first foray into Milly Johnson's fiction and I am now working on getting hold of her other novels (3 out of 7 ain't bad). It is a true feel good chick lit that follows three very different women with three very different stories as they become friends and face their weddings together and the issues that come along with them and

I wanted thoughtless chicklit and I got it with this book. It's light, full of cliches, unrealistic, trying a little too hard to make you go 'aaaww' but still getting you to keep turning the pages. It's the literary equivalent of a bag of chips.

I might have rated it higher if it hadn't decided to write in a completely ridiculous re-hashing of 'Jane Eyre' into the plot. Utter blasphemy!

Milly Johnson never let's you down with her books this was another excellent read and had many twists and turns and wanted you reading more so you could find out what dies happen. It's very romantic and so like real life as well. Three ladies are getting married but have they got the right men and can they go through with it or not very well written and a must read.

I devoured this book and it was delicious! So exciting and such a joy to read. I bloody love Milly Johnson books!

I have read every single book Milly Johnson has written so far, and loved each and every one of them. The warmth in her writing is what makes it so readable, and each time you can't help but fall in love with the characters and be sad when you have to leave them behind when you have finished the book. Somehow, Milly is now releasing 2 books a year, and this is her first release of 2012, White Wedding, and will be followed in October with Winter Flame. The cover is in keeping with the other Milly ...more

There is the White Wedding bridal shop. Three women have taken to browsing there for upcoming weddings - and they call seem to arrive about the same time. Max, who is marrying her long-time boyfriend, Stuart, who wants a no-frills registry office wedding which Max is having trouble with. She often browses the shop even though she has a beige suit selected for the wedding day. Bel is also browsing, though she has plans to wear her mother's wedding dress, and is eagerly looking forward to marrying ...more

I liked this book a lot, but I also ended up frustrated with it a lot too, and that's why I've only given it 3 stars rather than 4. The characters of Bel and Violet are great, with Violet's story being particularly touching and well-developed throughout the novel, but the third main character, Max and her fiance, Stuart, just hacked me off every time they appeared in the novel. Both of them are incredibly selfish and wilfully blind characters, and the way they behave is incredibly childish. I ha ...more

I've love every Milly Johnson I have ever picked up, yet surprisingly this one took me a while to get into. I don't know if it's because the characters all landed at once, or disbelief that three such vastly different women would form such a close friendship borne of a few chance meetings.

However once each storyline warmed up, things moved along pretty quickly and the book became very hard to put down. You knew where each one was going, but it was a nice journey all the same.

It does what it says on the tin - this is chick-lit, tried and tested formula at its best. Is it original? Not really. Did you know how it would end from the beginning? Well pretty much! That however in and of itself, is not a criticism. Readers of Chicklit/RomComs like their formula. Its part of the genre, we like to know that they will live happily ever after even if we don't!
The characters however were well drawn. The main protagonists were likeable and you cared what happened to them. Glyn

I picked this up because I was hoping to find a new author who could tide me over between Jill Mansell fixes. While it wasn't miserable, I can't say that my goal was really met. This felt like it was trying to be cute and quirky, but it just fell flat more often than not. And it really took overly long to get to what were foregone conclusions in each of the main characters' relationships. It did pick up after the first hundred pages or so, and I genuinely enjoyed the scenes of Bel & Daniel together ...more

I'm surprise to see the many good reviews of this book. I like reading chicklits, but I find myself feeling frustrated with the characters in the book. The story was also too cliche and unrealistic. The three women were all getting married and were going through some forms of dilemma... and unrealistically, they all found another guy before or right after the failed weddings. The story were too unrealistic and portrayed women to be these helpless creatures whose only way out from a broken relati ...more

Three random young women strike up a friendship after meeting each other while visiting 'White Wedding' Bridal Shop. What follows is the tale of Bel, Max and Violet's eventful run up to their respected wedding days. All I want to reveal is things do not always go to plan for the trio. I love Milly's books, they are filled with great characters you fall in love with and a few you don't! There is always some fun involved, some sadness, some warmth, some love and a little bit of magic that makes yo ...more

To be honest, this book didn't grab my attention at first. I was quite bored at the beginning. Soon, I started to really enjoy it and got to know the main characters.
White Wedding brings you three brides to be. There's a lot of dramas, humor, tears, and feeling in this book. I would recommend for anyone who is in the mood to enjoy a good summer read.

Another Milly Johnson book I got into very quickly. I enjoyed following the lives of the women as they got ready for the wedding of their dreams. I loved the characters of Violet and Bel but didn't warm to Max at all. As always there's a happy ending which was just what I wanted.

Milly Johnson at it again - creating the perfect mix of friendship, romance, comedy and drama, all within the confines of these pages. Hats off to you Milly, you'll forever be one of my favourite chick lit authors!!

Another Milly Johnson novel to add to my favourites pile. I don't know how she does it but whenever I read a novel by Milly I just get so engrossed that I forget what's going on around me! This one for me started off a little slow but as soon as it got to Bel's wedding it kinda just exploded and was absolutely amazing!

Firstly, the cover is stunning (as is all of Milly's covers) and although doesn't give much away it of course shows us what the book is roughly about. It's simplistic a

Frankly, this book suffered a lot from my expectations being totally off. I'd assumed "White Weddings" would be a cozy, romantic, feel-good chick-lit - instead I got a trainwreck of a book, that I couldn't look away from. Not at all what I was looking for, unfortunately. Of the three weddings being planned in the book, only one actually takes place, none of the women are happy in their relationship (although not all of them are aware of it) and though they all have good reasons to get out of the ...more

This book showed promise but failed to deliver. I struggled to get into it, but once I did, I felt there was som promise and by the middle, I was thinking that it may turn out to be a really good story. Unfortunately instead of twists and turns that could have made the story something unique, each turn in the story was the one you were fully expecting and it ended weakly & ultimately a typical “chick lit” book. There was more than a nod to Jane Eyre in the story which would have made much mo ...more

An entertaining book, and a nice easy read. The book follows three women in the preparations for their weddings, none of which go as planned - or do they? I read this in one sitting, and I liked the quite credible characters, so those were pluses.

However, the plot was rather contrived, and at least two of the three endings opened up quite large cans of worms that simply weren't addressed. Also, the speed with which the women who didn't marry moved on to other relationships really was
