Written by Frazer Lee (Lamplighters) official nominee for the Bram Stoker Awards `Superior Achievement in a First Novel' Award 2012.

Four young people win a trip of a lifetime to New York, courtesy of their favourite social-networking website All2gethr.com.

On board the private jet, they are invited to take part in the in-flight entertainment a new online gaming experience. But this is no ordinary game.

Trapped at 30,000 feet and forced to play for their lives and the lives of their loved ones by their mysterious captor, they are about to learn that putting your life on-line can have deadly offline consequences...

When I got hold of my copy of Panic Button on the Kindle, I really struggled to put it down. From start to finish, I was gripped, I literally was sitting on the edge of my seat reading it. Cannot wait to watch and review the film.

Panic Button shows you that when you are talking to someone on say Facebook, are you really sure that you are not being watched? Scary isn't it. When you are watching something on YouTube, hmmm be careful what it is as, who knows who is watching you!

Frazer Lee has done a brilliant job with writing Panic Button a definite must read for those that like psychological thrillers. I got hold of my copy free from Amazon when they had a free few days, but it is definitely worth spending out money to buy, you wont be disappointed, I wasn't.

Psychologically alarming while maintaining deep lurking evil. Haunting. A creepilly crafted cult read with elements too real to not give nightmares.

It's been awhile since I've read a novelization of a movie. Haven't seen the movie first so won't spend space here comparing to that, however, I have read a few novelizations that I enjoyed like Alien. Panic Button doesn't have the depth or detail of that novelization and reads more like a screenplay. There is very little in the way of unique point of views (more like a camera point of view with little internal dialogue) and, deaths aside, not a significant amount of detail. Would have been nice to learn a little bit more about the characters. If you enjoy novels that are very movie-like, dig movies like SAW, and have a penchant for stories involving psychotics + lack of privacy on social networking sites, Panic Button could be your fix.

In PANIC BUTTON, Frazer Lee explores timely fears about online privacy and security, cyber bullying and identity theft.

Next time you enter a competition - think twice!

I read the Kindle edition of this book but it doesn't seem to be listed with Goodreads....

Excellent!

I really enjoyed this novel and wondered just how it would all come to a conclusion.

It certainly makes you think about such social sharing and community networks as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter etc which is exactly what I'm assuming it was supposed to do....

Scary stuff!

I don't want to give too much away but if you think about everything you've ever written or posted on social networking and don't want it to come back and bite you in the rear - read this book.

I'm reading this book at the moment and have to say that it's pretty damn good! It's a slightly strange experience as I actually saw the film before starting the book. My enjoyment of the book hasn't been dampened in the least.

It's a really short (174 page) read and I'm getting through it in no time. The reason I'm posting this before I finish the novel is because it's being given away for free this weekend! Head over to amazon and grab a kindle version from 24/2/12 to 27/2/12 and you can grab it for free! Nice!

I'll leave a full review once I have finished reading!

Thanks.

Question

Question, why have I taken this title ,? Think about how much you use Facebook,Twitter, etc to tell not only your family, friends, but also virtual strangers so much of your life , who else has this knowledge ! This book is certainly true of the way we are so eager to share ,and accept anyone into our lives, without really knowing what happens to all this knowledge that we impart ,for some on a daily basis , maybe we should Question!! If you enjoy a glimpse , maybe only in fiction , but who knows ,then this book is for you

Somewhat entertaining with a lot of gore. Easy to read but very predictable. I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quick gory book to read.

Entertaining, easy to read and all you want in a time consuming horror. Read it in one sitting and liked the story however it is not really special. Perfect book if you have an afternoon off.

A not very credible story populated with flat and unsympathetic characters: How did this ever make it to print?

'Panic Button' shows how dangerous our online social interactions and our need to share information about ourselves can be as 4 'players' battle for their lives on board a plane...

'Panic Button' harbours an interesting concept, and really had my suspense and curiosity held in the first half of the book, however as the story went on it just seemed to get more and more far fetched right until the ending which really disappointed me and was unbelievable.

I did enjoy the fact that the writing was so fast-paced and how the perspective quickly shifted from character to character but in some places the grammar was poor and it just felt a little rushed. The hacking scene was so bad that I had to read out to my partner who is a computer programmer and we were actually in hysterics at how unrealistic and cliche it was!

Overall it's a thriller wrapped in a moral story about online bullying, a moral which is completely disregarded in it's ending, I got it for free and it was an alright read but wouldn't recommend it too greatly.

I found this short book (178 pages) on the Kindle Store for free and so i thought I would give it a try as the storyline sounded good. This book shows the fear of identity theft, online privacy and cyber bullying. It is a fairly quick book to read and one that is good if you are on a long journey to some place, it will make the time pass by. It is quite well written apart from the Kindle version having a few spelling mistakes and grammer mistakes which lost it a star, but I did enjoy reading the story.

Revenge Is Sweet Quite well done, but I came away with the feeling that the main characters got nothing more than they deserved.
