First off, Gladys, I'm so going to kick your butt if you keep ending these books like this :p

Be Careful What You Wish For starts off with a bit of background (loved the figure you used for her it so fits) to help you understand why they are the way they are.
I love his vigilante ways!!!!!!!!!!! Kills only the ones who deserve it the most and trust me these people deserve every bit of what they get!!!!!
Sebastian......what a evil prick!!

Wow! Another cliff hanger ending!!
Makes you desperate for more... Bring on the next book in this series!
The characters are so easy to fall in love with, or in some cases absolutely loathe.

'Be Careful What you Wish For' carries on nicely from 'The Man of My Dreams' and Gladys's easy reading style of writing makes this book another one for reading in all the one go.
I did not want to put it down (or leave the screen so to speak).

I can not wait to find out what happens in the lives of Cassie and h

Be Careful What You Wish For is the Second instalment to Gladys Quintal's first book The Man of My Dreams. It took me a while to read this but as soon as it was on my Ereader instead of Laptop screen I breezed through it just like her first book. And just like the first book I was hooked throughout. In this book it explains how everything started. How everything was connected to one woman. Elizabeth. Who is based on Elizabeth Bathory AKA Countess Dracula. In my opin

I was given and e-copy in exchange for my honest review.

This is book 2 in the The Dream Series.

I have to say that I loved this book. To me, it was way better than the first book in the series and I enjoyed it. In this installment, you find out how it all began. You find out how Alexi was turned in the first place, and whom started all this with the vampire curse. At the end of the first book, you were left with the feel of a happy ending or a "everything is gonna work out just fine" feeling. We

SO, why did I read this when I hated the first so much? The answer is simple, I bought them together. Also, I wanted to see if this was a crappy as the first.... it is! This time round, not only are we with Mick and Beth from Moonlight... were also copying Twilight. URGH!!!! JUST STOP!!! GET AN IMAGINATION!! Stop copying EVERYONE elses work.

The only plus side to this book is that 1, it's short (so I didn't have to waste more of my life on it!) and two, positive this time. The writing is a littl

Cassie and Alexi have managed to bring a little normalcy to their sons life. Alexi is pretending to be a human with a sun allergy making it possible for him to permanently work the night shift at the local hospital, while Cassie is Mum to AJ. The rules have been broken since Cassie knows Alexi is a vampire but he has failed to kill or change her, this makes certain people not very happy and puts all of them in danger.

I had been a little reluctant to read and review this book because I had r

Ok, I could have sworn I already wrote this up.

Be Careful What You Wish For is the second book in a series. To be honest, I was not so happy with the ending of the first book. It felt like it just ended with the possibility of a happily ever after, but with too much left open. That was before I discovered it was a series! Now I feel better hehehe. This was a fun quick read with a dark side. I am going to try to not be too spoilery, but there may be some spoilers from book one. So be forewarned

Be Careful What You Wish For continues the love story of Alexi and his human love Cassandra. They are happy in their “normal” life. Alexi feels something is coming, but can’t quite place the feeling.

Alexi has settled into his life as a doctor and Cassandra is happy being a mother. Unknown to them, a darkness has fallen upon them and it’s named Sebastian. He is an original evil; a vampire turned by the infamous Countess Dracula. She sent him on a mission several hundred years ago and he is still

Be Careful What You Wish For is book 2 in the Dream series and it is definitely as good as the first. I quickly got engaged and wrapped up in the whole story again and as always the end came all too quickly. I love Gladys' writing style, it kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. I think the author has taken the story to a whole new level in this instalment and I am excited to see where it will take us in the next book. The characters have developed nicely and I think I have a better feel for ...more

Be Careful What You Wish For is the second book in the Dream Series and picks up where The Man of My Dreams left off, continuing the story of Alexi and Cassandra.

I really enjoyed Alexi and Cassandra as characters and was anxious to read more about them in this book. It was nice to see them having a life together after she accepted him and broke his curse. This book provides us with some of the characters from the last story, as well as a few new ones.

Although I did enjoy the first book, I though

Beware of Spoilers

In this second installment, Alexi has been living as a human with Cassie and their hybrid son, AJ. He has resumed his previous career as a doctor and works nights at the hospital. Life appears to be perfect, but all of that is about to change.

Unseen forces do not like that Alexi is living quietly amongst humans and plans on making him pay by threatening those he loves the most.

Once again, Quintal tells the story is a short novella

Just finished Book 2 and got Book 3.......
I can't believe the Author is so cruel (but in a good way)

What will happen now to Cassie? Will she come back as a Vamp or simply die?
What is the secret with Nana and her Blood line?
Will Alexis be doomed to be on his own?
What about little A.J...without his Mum?

So far these Books are turning out to be more then my poor heart can handle.

Ok, I really enjoyed the first book in this series ( The man of my dreams), however, this one has me LOVING it! So much is explained in this one that it all just snaps into place and lets you become excited about finishing the book! It's not a extremely long book but it's enough to keep you wanting more! I love that's it's a new twist in the Vampire type novels, only able to appear as they're normal handsome self in they're dreams unless they manage to get a mortal to love them, until then they ...more

How would you like if the past was currently trying to destroy your present and future? What if you had to in a type of form go back to the past in order to help save your present? And what if a law of your kind was the reason you were having this trouble?

Cassandra and Alexi were able to beat the odds and fall in love in The Man Of My Dreams but now something else wants to tear them apart and destroy them any way possible.

I was given this book in return for an honest review. This is the 2nd book in the series. Alexi and Cassie are back and they are together. They are raising their son, A.J. who thinks his father is allergic to the sun. He doesn't know that his dad is a vampire. Alexi only feeds off of criminals, child molesters, rapists, etc. In not changing Cassie, he has broken the cardinal rules of his kind. Never let a human know what you are without either killing or changing them. So in this book he will ha ...more

Another Wow! read.
I loved the unique background on the story and why these vamps are the way they are.
You root for Alexi as he takes down only those evil men to feed and then celebrate that he gets to be a doctor again and meets his sister and mom again.
The added elements of Cassie's and A.J.'s cool talents and that they still don't know fully what they can do or what it means adds a little more suspense. Plus you have that mystery of what/who Elizabeth is? What are her plans? What about Sebas

My Thoughts:
First of what a way to end a book! Second I can't wait to read more. Third if you haven't read any of these books I highly recommend them. Now I will be waiting for the next book to come out not so patiently. ;D

The review:
We're introduced to some new character in the book. Sebastian starts out as a nice character who I liked until he started drinking blood from someone and watching another someones baby at night. Super creepiness. We get to see Alexi's family and his reactions, YaY!

Review from box set...
First off, I would like to say that I am not usually a big fan of books that have rape and molestation in them. I will say that this book does not dwell on the subject and the scenes are brief. On to a better note, I love the concept of a hero vampire. Alexi and his story is heart breaking and emotional. He is a hero in every sense of the word, even though he does not see himself as such. I love how he will only kill those that deserve it. The love that Alexi and Cassie hav

I was given this book by the author in return for an honest review.
I wasn't sure how this was going to follow on from the first book, but the author follows on from the first to the second book as if there is no break. This is a compelling story from start to finish and certainly had a few twists and turns that I honestly would never have thought of. I really can't wait to read the third book and see how Cassandra and Alexi cope with the fact that she has been fed blood by her half vampire 1yr o

Even though I read the first book in the series ages ago, it did not take me long to remember the characters in book 2 at all.
Now seeing as I don't exactly read a book a year this is quite a compliment towards the author in how she creates characters that stick with the reader.

The book is an extremely fast read for a full length novel. It simply flows so effortlessly that I literally read it in one sitting in abit more than an hour. Another compliment to the author.

I gave this 3 and a half Stars. The second book in the 'Dream Series', it answered some questions from the first novel while adding another dimension to the characters. The character interaction is simplistic yet enjoyable and has you wanting more from them. The Western Australian references give those who live there an added thrill. This was an easy read and the author leaves the reader in suspense at the end. ...more

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book picked up where book 1 left off and continues the story of Alexi and Cassie. Once I started reading this one I found myself unable to put it down. The author is able to pull you into the story and I loved the characters. I'm anxiously awaiting book 3 to see what happens next. :)

I really liked the twist this book has. I liked how it started with Elizabeth, and tells how the curse came to be. It shows both sides of vampires and humans. It's different from other vampire books I have read, it takes on it's own V Rules.
Hope to read more from Gladys Quintal.

A survivor of sexual abuse, I have recently written the true account of my childhood, titled: Life After Hell: Surviving Sexual Abuse. I have tried to convey what happened to me as well as my journey to finally getting justice.

A lot of my real life experiences have gone into my fictional works - especially my first book The Man of My Dreams, where I created a vigilante vampire that kills rapists
