This was a great overall view of Biblical prophecy, from Genesis to Revelation. It seemed to be well researched, well laid out, and well written. It is always good to delve into prophecy in order to understand the Bible so that you may grasp an overall worldview of the Bible. While I am not knee deep into prophecy, I do understand the fact that a good portion of the Bible is steeped in prohecy. Therefore, we must look into this subject in order to better understand the Bible! Well worth it for, at very least, a reference book, in your library.
If you have been searching for a bible prophecy resource, make sure you add this book to your library. It is an excellent reference for those studying end-times and includes clear, concise charts along with a chart index that gives specific page numbers of where you can find what you are looking for. There is also a topical index which helps speed up your searches by subject.
This book contains an exhaustive list of scriptures regarding the pre-tribulation rapture and second coming of Christ, and is organized by prophecies in order from the Old Testament to the New Testament. It literally walks the reader from Genesis to Revelation and expounds upon all of the scriptures concerning end-times prophecy. Commentary for every scripture is included which makes it easy for readers to understand a very intimidating subject.
Highly recommended for those who wish to have a thorough end-times reference book in their personal study library.
I read this book as part of a Bible reading plan in which I focused on Biblical prophecy. It took me a couple of years to get through it completely because I only read a Bible chapter a day plus whatever may have applied to that chapter as outlined in this book. I was trying to bite off small amounts at a time in order to stay focused on my plan and not wander off topic.
This book is a good basic overview of Biblical prophecy. It is not intended as an in depth look at Bible prophecy. I did not expect to agree 100% with the authors' opinions, and that proved to be the case. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of books written about Bible prophecy. If you are looking to stick your toes in the water, this might be a good first step.
