An illustrated study of architecture spans some five thousand years as it captures the finest achievements of human construction and discusses a variety of architectural styles and movements.
Have had this book for years. I use it to seek out architecture when we travel. I put stars in the books for buildings I have visited. I put in a lot this time. It is a nice reference to world architecture but I don't necessarily agree with the choices to math the title. For example, the Wainwright Building in St. Louis isn't included. Haven't visited everywhere and probably won't but I can dream.
