Well if work finds out how I killed time on a slow day I'll be in for it. Otherwise, I enjoyed this more than volume 1, and that's saying something because I'm not a fan of Spencer's writing (Morning Glories I never got past volume 1, and volume 1 of this title felt like it failed to payoff on all of its plot threads).

Spencer wisely brings back a threat from the original Tower Comics series, and adding some 2010s sensibilities finally make them a worthwhile threat. At the same time Spencer give the reader a hidden history of T.H.U.N.D.E.R. that some will object to but that I think works (even though I admit to some problems with this plot development myself).

While not wholly successful, likely because of the number of issues in the series, Spencer does gives us some characterization with his work on Toby (Menthor) and Colleen (the Iron Maiden's and Dynamo's daughter), plus a little on Anthony Dunn.

While I know IDW now has the rights to these characters, they should be allowed to pass into history now like the Archie Comics super hero characters (after the Impact line everything there has been mostly blah). So long as there is nostalgia and a buck to be made I doubt that will happen, even though this is a good end to the characters and the organization.

And, I'm saying this as someone who considers Spencer's Captain America/Nazi schtick is crap.
