It seems like these graphic novels really focus on the political conflicts rather than the characters and relationships, which is sorta upsetting because I really, really loved Jem in this book and that aspect of it got a bit lost with this translation. Nevertheless, the art in here is so stunning and this trilogy is so well-done that I had to give it the credit it deserves, just as a well-concocted storyline.
I will never not give anything The Infernal Devices related anything less than 5 stars!

Of course, I had to rate this book 5 stars, I knew I would love it. I have already read the Infernal Devices and it was such a beautiful series. When I found out that there was manga for these books, I HAD to read it. I already read the manga for Clockwork Angel, so I started to read Clockwork Prince. And they did an awesome job with this book and the art was so beautiful.

Can I just first rant again about the fact that there are Manga editions of my favorite books? I LOVE THIS SO SO MUCH! Reading these Manga editions of The Infernal Devices has been SUCH A JOY so far! They're nothing short of being amazing.

The artist remains so loyal to the original books and I couldn't be happier about that! And I am just so insanely in love with this artist's artwork, so in love. The world Clare created... It's so awesome to see it being presented in drawings, and in such beau

A freaking gem! The art beautiful, the scenes are so on point. The shadowhunter world is as impressive as always. The relationships starting to blossom are goals. The characters are so fond to my heart. And the love between Jem and Tessa and Will kills me and brings me back to life time after time.

Eh, it was a pretty good graphic novel adaptation but I was SO SO PISSED THAT THEY DIDN'T PUT WILL'S DEMON POX SONG. OR THE WE LIVE AND BREATHE WORDS QUOTE.

This is immensely better of an adaptation of the novel than Clockwork Angel manga, albeit I had to ignore how it portrayed Magnus and Henry -.-. I felt all the feels, cried about it just as I had reading the book, so I’d say it translates pretty well! With maybe a few more chapters, this could be further detailed (I would’ve appreciated chibi Will doing the duck dance). I still wouldn’t recommend reading the manga alone without having read the books. The novels definitely have a lot more descri ...more

Not sure if this volume just ended up working better as a manga, or if I've begun to warm to this series in a visual format, but I really enjoyed this volume!

I am just flying through these manga's. I mean they only take me an hour to an hour and a half to read and the longest is if I get distracted. I forgot how much I loved this story and how much it tears out my heart and rips it to pieces. The line that Tessa says "I didn't break his heart but ripped mine in two" is how I feel. I love Jem and Tessa and Will for all their different attributes and them working together. The ending of this made me happy, no spoilers, but I know that things will chang ...more

I'm giving this manga 3.5 stars. I did enjoy it but it started at Chapter 9 went through all the major plot points of the book and then ended at Chapter 16. BOOOO I want to see the whole book in pictures dammit! Ha-ha!!!

If you have read The Infernal Devices and you would like a fresher of the books definitely check out the mangas. They are a great catch up to a story that you already love. If you are new to the the novels first or you will be missing a lot of awesome dialogue. There

It was a good adaption of the story. I think that it did a good job with staying true to the story. The art is the only thing that got me again - the art was a bit too similar at parts that all the guys kind of blended together at parts. Like, I had a hard time figuring who was who at parts especially between Nate and the one Lightwood brother. Overall, it was a nice adaptation, and the three stars was in part to the actual storyline as well - I was never a Jem fan soryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. 3 crow ...more

I liked the first installment a little bit more than this, but the story is interesting and the illustrations are cool so I will keep on reading even if YA have never been my cup of tea.

Il primo volume mi era piaciuto di piú, ma la storia regge e le illustrazioni non sono male quindi continueró a leggere nonostante i romanzi YA non mi siano mai piaciuti.

Having an illustrated version adapted can also come in handy. Like for instance, I might have imagined myself a picture the way how demons were described had turned out to not be exactly what I had in my mind.

But that’s okay. Because I get to see what the London Institute really looks like before my eyes.

So it’s kind of an “Oh, that’s how it looks like?” Every time I would recognise something, that would be the same question I would speak up big time.

Book Title: Clockwork Prince (The Infernal Devices, Manga #2)
Author: Cassandra Clare
Illustrator: HyeKyung Baek

This manga does a great job of sticking close to the source material. I often find that rehashes of books/movies/television series often stray and try to do their own thing, but this adaption is pretty spot on.

This adaption also does a good job of developing characters in the picture print setting. I liked seeing the characters alongside the words that went with them. I

This was a lot better than the Clockwork Angel manga, which is not surprising seeing as the trilogy improved with each book. I'm reminded all over again why this story has such a hold on me. Despite the lack of character development, it's still a breeze to read. I just "fill in the blanks" when I know something has been left out of a

I think the best way to get back into reading is reading something you've read before in a different way. I understand its a bit unorthodox to read the 2nd book before the 1st but I've already read this series so I think I deserve a pass. Honestly, reading the book and looking at the book as if it was in a movie form are very different forms. I never really how gruesome the monsters appeared or how some "blush-worthy" moments were so...ahem. I really want to reread this series in all the manga f ...more

"A parsnip planted in satan's own garden," said Will. He glanced about. "I dont suppose there's a dog I could feed it to?"
