If God Made the Universe, Who Made God?: 130 Arguments for Christian Faith
Perhaps you remember being in a university class, feeling frustrated when the respected professor dismissed questions from a student because of her religious faith. Or maybe over a business lunch one of your colleagues referred to Christianity as a fairytale, and you said nothing.
Many Christians find themselves in such situations but don’t speak up because they don’t fully realize the strength of their own position. They feel incapable of giving reasons for the hope that is theirs.
Christian apologetics is the discipline and growing body of knowledge that equips believers to address their own doubts, to converse with seekers and critics from a position of strength, and to bear witness to Christ with confidence.
In the spirit of the title question, If God Made the Universe, Who Made God? collects 130 essays written in defense of the Christian faith. Contributors include some of the pre-eminent apologists of our time, from Lee Strobel and Charles Colson to Hank Hanegraaff, J. P. Moreland, and Ravi Zacharias. The content is grouped into ten

A book like this can be hard to wring. When you have 130 arguments in 205 pages, you know none of the arguments are going to have the opportunity to go in any real depth. Some of them are quite well done and some of them...respectfully not so much. As a whole though, I could see where this could help someone, especially if they were newer to the faith or if they were a seeker. I would probably give it a 3.5, but bumped it to the 4 since you can't give half star reviews. There were some arguments I would revisit and use or just keep it to give to someone down the road.

This was both brilliant as well as very disappointing. The 130 arguments by their very nature had to be short (or the book would be too long), and this unfortunately meant that too many of the essays were superficial at best. Thankfully there were a few gems within the volume, but not enough to redeem it fully.

Apologetics for the layman
5 stars for ease of read. Understandable and easily debatable with those willing to listen as well as debate. Tolerance for both sides of the argument needed.
